Lalil Kittitanaphan
BIOGRAPHY
Lalil Kittitanaphan (Thai: ลลิล กิตติธนะพันธ์) is a Thai screenwriter with fifteen credits since 2019, nine of which carry a queer classification.
The Boys’ Love work is The Effect (2019), Baker Boys (รักของผม ขนมของคุณ, 2021, 12 episodes on GMM 25 for GMMTV), Remember 15 (2022, 12 episodes) and the film My Precious (2023). Girls’ Love began with 23.5 (23.5 องศาที่โลกเอียง, 2024, 12 episodes on GMM 25). Us and Love Design followed in 2025 with twelve and eight episodes, and Moonshadow (เงาใต้พระจันทร์, 2026, 10 episodes) is adapted from the novel by Flower of Memory. High School Frenemy (2024, 16 episodes) is classified as bromance.
Outside the genre the credits are steady: A Gift to the People You Hate (2019), Who Are You (2020, 18 episodes), Poisonous Passion (2022, 15 episodes), Home School (2023, 18 episodes), Midnight Series: Dirty Laundry (2023) and My Precious The Series (2024).
The writing team
On Who Are You (2020), Home School (2023), High School Frenemy (2024), 23.5 (2024), Us (2025) and Love Design (2025), the writing is credited to the same group of names across every episode:
- Who Are You (18 episodes): Lalil Kittitanaphan, Naphat Chitveerapat, Parkpoom Nuntalit
- Home School (18 episodes): Lalil Kittitanaphan, Naphat Chitveerapat, Nichaphat Buranadilok
- High School Frenemy (16 episodes): Lalil Kittitanaphan, Naphat Chitveerapat, Nichaphat Buranadilok
- 23.5 (12 episodes): Lalil Kittitanaphan, Naphat Chitveerapat, Nichaphat Buranadilok
- Us (12 episodes): Lalil Kittitanaphan, Naphat Chitveerapat, Nichaphat Buranadilok
- Love Design (8 episodes): Lalil Kittitanaphan, Naphat Chitveerapat, Nichaphat Buranadilok
Three of the Girls’ Love series, 23.5, Us and Moonshadow, were directed by Kanittha Kwunyoo for GMMTV. Love Design went to the director Kittisak Cheewasatjasakun. Kanittha Kwunyoo also directed Who Are You and Home School, so most of the long running writing partnership has a single director beside it.
Moonshadow
Moonshadow began on 12 August 2026 on GMM 25 and oneD, with new episodes on Wednesdays until 14 October. Lalil Kittitanaphan writes it with Naphat Chitveerapat. Emi Thasorn Klinnium plays Chan, a successful businesswoman who reaches an unconventional arrangement with Key, played by Bonnie Pattraphus Borattasuwan. The story turns when Chan’s first love, Jay, comes back, played by Film Rachanun Mahawan.
Lalil Kittitanaphan wrote for both Thai Boys’ Love and Girls’ Love, with four credits in each between 2019 and 2026.
Moonshadow is the exception to the shared writing team listed above: it is adapted from a novel by Flower of Memory and carries a pair of writers rather than the full trio.
In my view the order of the genre credits is the most telling detail. All four Boys’ Love titles fall between 2019 and 2023, and all four Girls’ Love titles come after, from 2024 to 2026, so the two genres sit in sequence rather than side by side. The two Boys’ Love series with a stated length run twelve episodes each, the same as 23.5 and Us, which means the first Girls’ Love assignments kept the format already used for Boys’ Love. The year 2024 was busy, because 23.5 and High School Frenemy both carry that date, as does the series version of My Precious. If I were choosing one title to start with, I would pick Us for its steady twelve episode pace.
