BIOGRAPHY
Danuphon Chaimueanwong (ดนุพล ฉายเหมือนวงศ์) is a Thai screenwriter whose television credits run from 2016 to 2026. The list moves from anthology episodes through a supernatural romance and a time-crossing love story to a bakery comedy, a girls’ love drama, an ensemble series about women in their thirties and a boys’ love fantasy.
The earliest work is two episodes of Club Friday Season 7 in 2016, Game of Love and The Fault of Love. In 2020 came Deja Vu, twenty-two episodes on One 31 from 19 February to 30 April 2020, written with Sirilux Srisukon and Wilasinee Ruangprajuabkul and directed by Wo Worawit Khuttiyayothin. Nawat Kulrattanarak and Esther Supreeleela play the lovers Win and Jane, and the story turns on Win returning after an accident has killed him.
Love in Twilight followed in 2021 on One 31 for twelve episodes, from 1 November to 7 December. It adapts a novel about a tribal spirit called Suea Phaya, the Tiger King. The script credit is shared with Sirilux Srisukon and Sakunkarn Vejjajiva, Mai Phawat Panangkasiri directed, and Phakin Khamwilaisak and Oranate D.caballes lead as Dr. Sama and Parichart.
In 2023 Bake Me Please ran six episodes on Channel 8 and TrueID from 19 November to 24 December. Danuphon wrote it with Khim Piyaros Sunthornwiphart, Kanchanapun Meesuwan directed, and the story follows the dessert chef Shin, played by Ohm Thitiwat Ritprasert, whose bakery gains a new staff member named Peach, played by Guide Kantapon Chompupan.
Two series arrived in 2025. Dangerous Queen is an eight episode girls’ love drama from 5 October to 23 November 2025, written with Thewarin Sirilert and directed by Kasama Nitsaiphan, with Tangkwa Phinyanech Aungsuwan as the heiress Queen and Nur Desoraya Techapaibul as Bonita. The Thirsty Thirty (30 เพิ่งเริ่มต้น) ran twenty episodes from 28 August 2025 on WeTV and Disney+ Hotstar, produced by Linmon Pictures. Danuphon is one of four credited screenwriters there, alongside Khim Piyaros Sunthornwiphart, Kusolin Mekviphat and Phoutida Nosavan, with Nui Suttasit Dechinthanarak directing.
The latest credit is Flower Boy (หลงกลิ่นเกสร), eight episodes from 25 April 2026, a boys’ love fantasy romance with a screenplay credit for Danuphon. It went out on ONE 31, which is also credited as its production company. Natthaphong Wongkaweepairod directed, with Santi Torwiwat and Lakkate Wasikachart as co-directors. A cold perfume-company heir abducts a magical being to take its scent and then discovers that the scent, and his own survival, depend on winning that being over. Satjakorn Chalard and Peemapol Panichtamrong lead the cast.
Across 2023, 2025 and 2026 the same writer has worked on a bakery romance between men, a girls’ love drama and a fantasy built around scent.
In my view the most telling detail is how different the working conditions were. Bake Me Please is a six episode piece for a digital and cable pairing, Dangerous Queen is an eight episode drama with one co-writer, The Thirsty Thirty is a twenty episode series written by four, and Flower Boy is a terrestrial channel production that the broadcaster also made itself.
The scent at the centre of Flower Boy reaches into the cast list. Satjakorn Chalard plays a lead named Scent, opposite Peemapol Panichtamrong as Kaysorn, so the idea of a fragrance worth taking is carried by a character name as well as by the plot. If I were choosing a first title to watch, I would pick Flower Boy for its premise, then go back to Deja Vu to see where the interest in love that crosses a boundary between worlds begins.
