About this archive
If BL and GL had their own streaming country, GagaOOLala would be the capital. Every single thing on it is queer, so you never have to dig through cooking shows and crime thrillers to find your next couple. It is run by the Taipei based company Portico Media, founded by Jay Lin, and it grew from Taiwan across Southeast Asia before opening up to most of the world.
The library mixes Asian queer cinema, shorts, documentaries and series with international picks, in English, Chinese and Thai. GagaOOLala also makes its own work, like the documentary series Queer Taiwan and Queer Asia and the feature Tale of the Lost Boys, so it is often the original home of a title.
That is why so many Taiwanese, Chinese, Singaporean and Southeast Asian titles land here: Fragrance of the First Flower, Kiss or Kill, Double Helix, Kill to Love, Lost to You, Journey With You, Connecting to You, Smile After Tears, plus Thai shows like The Heart Killers, Juliet & Juliet and ChermChey. My tip: open the newest titles every week, and start with Fragrance of the First Flower if GL is your thing. Welcome to the capital.
