Adrian Lindayag
BIOGRAPHY
Adrian Lindayag (born May 8, 1995) is a Filipino actor, singer and theatre artist. He plays Dominic Cruz in both of the records this catalogue holds him on, and they are the same story: the film The Boy Foretold by the Stars (2020) and the series that continued it, Love Beneath the Stars (2021), with Keann Johnson as Luke in each.
He had been working for five years before that. His earliest credits are in the ABS-CBN anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya, where he appeared between 2015 and 2020 both as a performer and as a soundtrack singer, and in the serial Kadenang Ginto (2018 to 2020) as Neil Andrada. He is represented by Star Magic through its Polaris division.
The Boy Foretold by the Stars was written and directed by Dolly Dulu and produced by Clever Minds Inc., The Dolly Collection and Brainstormers Lab. It was released on 25 December 2020 as a Metro Manila Film Festival entry, took twelve nominations there and won Second Best Picture, Best Original Soundtrack for “Ulan” and the Gender Sensitivity Award. Lindayag was nominated Best Actor at that festival, and again at the 44th Gawad Urian in October 2021, in a category that also held his co-lead. He sings “Kaibigan” on the film’s soundtrack, which is the clearest illustration on this page of why the singer credit is here.
The sequel was announced on 2 February 2021 and made as a limited series co-produced by Dreamscape Entertainment and Clever Minds Inc., with most of the cast returning.
His work since has been broad rather than genre-bound. Films include An Inconvenient Love and Kitty K7 (both 2022), Becky & Badette (2023) and Love, Siargao (2026); television includes Oh My Dad! (2020 to 2021), Marry Me, Marry You (2021 to 2022), Beach Bros (2022), Simula sa Gitna and Linlang (both 2023), Marahuyo Project (2024) and Saving Grace (2024 to 2025). On stage he has played Jewel in Rak of Aegis and Angel in Rent, and appeared in Zsazsa Zaturnnah The Musical, Regine: The Fairy Godmother and Next to Normal.
Where this record is thin: his theatre credits are listed by production and role but without years or venues, which is ordinary for stage work and is why none of it carries a date here. No official social account was verified for this page.
Two of the records in this batch are the same partnership, and that is rarer in Philippine boys’ love than the promotional language around it suggests.
Lindayag and Keann Johnson played Dominic and Luke in The Boy Foretold by the Stars and then again in Love Beneath the Stars, a genuine continuation rather than a reunion in unrelated roles. Both were nominated for Best Actor at the same Gawad Urian ceremony for the same film, which is an unusual thing for a pair of leads and says something about how the performances were read by critics rather than by a fandom.
Most of the pairings on this site exist for one production and are then broken up when the companies move on. This one was carried into a sequel by a different lead producer, which required somebody to decide the pairing was worth keeping.
It is also worth saying what the awards were not. The film won Second Best Picture, a soundtrack award and a gender sensitivity prize; neither lead won an acting award for it. The nominations are the accurate claim.
