Du Yiheng

BIOGRAPHY

Du Yiheng (Chinese: 杜奕衡, born 4 September 1978) is a Chinese actor and singer from Chengdu, Sichuan, with around seventy-five screen credits. He got into the industry by looking like somebody else, and spent more than a decade getting out from under it.

In 1998 he went on Beijing Television’s variety show Huanle Zong Dongyuan as an impersonator of the Hong Kong star Andy Lau, and won the national impersonation contest. That likeness became his job: for years afterwards he worked as Andy Lau’s body double on film sets, standing in for a face that was not his own.

From 2010 he began shedding the label. He appeared in Jiang Wen’s Let the Bullets Fly (2010) as one of the Four, in Tsui Hark’s Flying Swords of Dragon Gate (2011) as Ji Xueyong, in White Vengeance (2011) and in The Taking of Tiger Mountain (2014), the two Jiang Wen and Tsui Hark titles being the ones Chinese sources usually name as his breakthrough. His earliest credit on record is Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon in 2008.

Since then he has worked steadily in Chinese television and film, often in period and wuxia productions. He played Cao Shuang in The Advisors Alliance (2017), Yan Zhenku in Legend of the Naga Pearls (2017), Tang in Ever Night (2018), Jin Si in The Bodyguard (2016), Gu Mingjue in Thirteen Generals (2024), Zhang Sanfeng in Heroes (2024), Wang Ge in Blossom (2024), Ouyang Feitian in The Immortal Ascension (2025) and Huang Zhongsi in Blossoms of Power (2026).

He plays Su He in Journey With You (2026).
