Natthakit Fungcharoen
BIOGRAPHY
Natthakit Fungcharoen (ณัฐกิตต์ ฟุ้งเจริญ) is a Thai screenwriter whose credited filmography is entirely queer drama, written for four different Thai producers since 2022.
His first credit is the 2022 feature My Tempo (น้องพี่ ดนตรี+เพื่อน), a ninety-six-minute coming-of-age Boys’ Love film about two gifted music students competing for a career-making prize, made by Studio Commuan with Independent Film and Dreammers Society Management.
In March 2025 he wrote My Golden Blood (เลือดนายลมหายใจฉัน), the twelve-episode GMMTV vampire romance broadcast on GMM 25, in which a centuries-old vampire has to protect the man whose rare blood makes him a target for everyone else of his kind. In October the same year came ClaireBell (คลั่ง/รัก/นักโทษ), an eight-episode Girls’ Love series set in a women’s prison, adapted from a novel and broadcast on ONE 31 by Mine Media Production with maxmotive.
2026 has brought two more. Love of Silom (รักแห่งสีลม) ran twelve episodes on WeTV from 24 April, a Boys’ Love crime romance about a police officer who rescues a struggling student at a Silom nightclub; the screenplay is credited to him with Irene Insot and Kanokphan Ornrattanasakul, and it was directed by Banchorn Vorasataree. Then Class Crush Crisis (เพื่อนสนิทระวังคิดไม่ซื่อ) ran eight episodes from 24 July to 28 August on Netflix and ONE 31, produced by Change 2561 and directed by Natthaphong Wongkaweepairod, a school romantic comedy adapted from a web novel about an aspiring rock musician who swears off romance and then meets his roommate.
Natthakit Fungcharoen has written for a film producer, GMMTV, ONE 31, WeTV and Netflix within five years.
His 2025 brought two series in eight months, My Golden Blood in March and ClaireBell in October, in different genres for different companies. Love of Silom followed in 2026.
In my view, what stands out in his filmography is how little it repeats itself. A music school rivalry, a vampire romance, a prison drama, a nightclub crime story and a campus comedy share one writer and almost nothing else in setting. What stayed with me is that he moves between film and series, between original scripts and book adaptations, and between a streaming service and free to air channels without the premises blurring together. If I had to pick one place to begin, I would watch My Tempo for the earliest look at his writing and then jump to ClaireBell to see how far he travelled in three years.
The part I admire is the difference in tone from one script to the next. A rivalry between music students and a story set inside a women’s prison ask for very different handling, and each of his credits keeps its own atmosphere. That is my opinion as an editor, offered as a viewpoint and not as a fact about his working method.
