Hidaka Ukisho
BIOGRAPHY
Hidaka Ukisho (Japanese: 浮所飛貴; born 27 February 2002 in Aichi Prefecture) is a Japanese actor, singer and idol, and a member of the group ACEes. He is signed to STARTO ENTERTAINMENT.
He grew up going to concerts with his mother, a fan of Arashi and Sexy Zone, and wanted to join the same world himself. It was his mother who sent in his application. He auditioned and entered the agency on 9 April 2016, while in his third year of junior high school, and has named Kento Nakajima as the senior he looks up to.
In November 2016 he was chosen for the junior unit Tokyo B Shonen, which was later renamed Sexy Bishonen and then Bi Shonen. His first leading film role came on 4 June 2021 in Mune ga Naru no wa Kimi no Sei. He kept studying alongside the work, and on 28 March 2024 announced through the junior official Instagram stories that he had graduated from the Faculty of Law at Rikkyo University.
His schooling ran through the same institution for years: he attended Rikkyo Ikebukuro Junior and Senior High School before entering Rikkyo University. He has said that Jun Matsumoto’s role in the drama 99.9 shaped his decision to study law.
Bi Shonen effectively disbanded on 16 February 2025, and he moved into the newly formed ACEes the same day. In 2026 he plays Sota Kobayagawa in the TV Asahi Boys’ Love drama Your Summer, My Storm (夏色の雲が恋と嵐をまきおこす), the tutor brought into the Takemiya house by his girlfriend, opposite fellow ACEes member Ryusei Fukada.
Tomodachi Game R4 premiered on TV Asahi on 23 July 2022, in the Saturday 11 pm slot. Hidaka played its protagonist, the high school student Yuichi Katakiri, who values friendship and is pulled with four friends into a game to repay a sudden debt, where each round tests how far they trust one another. The cast drew on two junior groups: Ryuga Sato, Naoki Fujii, Taisho Iwasaki and Yuto Nasu from Bi Shonen, and Mizuki Inoue and Soya Igari from HiHi Jets.
In 2023 he played Tenjin Kinomiya in the Nippon TV drama Sukisuki Wanwan!. Outside acting he pairs with Yuto Nasu as the duo known as Uki-Nasu, and in July 2024 the two appeared together at the press conference for Mynavi Summer Stage Live 2024 at EX Theater Roppongi.
Hidaka Ukisho took his first leading television role in 2020, at the age of 18, in the TV Asahi drama Manatsu no Shonen.
He played Atsushi Kasuga in that series, then Hiruma Oura in The High School Heroes in 2021 and a lead role in Tomodachi Game R4 in 2022. In 2021 he also appeared in the WOWOW drama Solomon no Gisho as Kenichi Noda.
On the small screen he was a regular on the Fuji TV variety programme VS Tamashii in 2021 and 2022. Each of his leading television roles named above, including Sota Kobayagawa in Your Summer, My Storm, has been for TV Asahi.
Counting from the day he entered the agency, the steps come at measurable distances. His first television lead arrived four years after 9 April 2016, and his first film lead, on 4 June 2021, five years after. The year 2021 is the fullest on his list: the film lead, The High School Heroes, Solomon no Gisho and his place on VS Tamashii all sit in it. The group he belonged to changed names three times, from Tokyo B Shonen to Sexy Bishonen to Bi Shonen, and then, on 16 February 2025, he joined ACEes. His law degree, announced in March 2024, came between the third of those names and the fourth group, and Ryusei Fukada, his partner in the 2026 drama, belongs to the same group.
In my view, Tomodachi Game R4 is the clearest window into how he works. Its protagonist has to think for the whole group rather than charm it, which is a different demand from a romantic lead, and the tutor in Your Summer, My Storm is a useful contrast to watch for afterwards.
