Ayden Sng
BIOGRAPHY
Ayden Sng (Chinese: 孙政; born November 17, 1993) is a Singaporean actor, host and musician signed to Mediacorp, with representation in China through Huanyu Entertainment. He plays Lu Feng opposite Lyu Sitong’s Cheng Yichen in Double Helix (2026), a Chinese and Singaporean boys’ love drama adapted from Lan Lin’s danmei novel A Round Trip to Love.
He attended Raffles Institution and then studied International Comparative Studies at Duke University in the United States, graduating in 2018. Music has run alongside his studies: he plays violin, piano and erhu, belonged to the Singapore National Youth Orchestra and later hosted that orchestra’s online programme Music Chatterbox.
Acting was a second career. He first worked as a product manager at a consulting firm, then appeared in the short film Walk with Me in 2019 as Junwei. In May of that year he became a full-time Mediacorp artiste.
His television work for the network began to stack up quickly. In Loving You (2020) he played Dong Sheng, the much younger love interest of Lin Li. Truths About Us (2021) gave him the lead role of Ryan, and in The Unbreakable Bond (2022) he led again as Gu Yuncong. He also appeared in the Channel 8 series All That Glitters.
The move into Chinese-market work came in April 2024, when he was cast in the fantasy drama Feud, led by Bai Lu and Joseph Zeng. Double Helix followed in 2026 with him as male lead. The series was released across GagaOOLala, Viki, YouTube and Viu, with the first episode free on GagaOOLala.
His timeline has a clear shape. He led two Mediacorp series in consecutive years, 2021 and 2022, and seven years separate his first screen credit in 2019 from the male lead of Double Helix in 2026.
The China side of his career took a formal shape in September 2023, when he was selected for the partnership between Mediacorp and Huanyu Entertainment. Double Helix itself is a twelve-episode Mandarin series that aired from 8 May to 13 June 2026, and in its present-day storyline Lu Feng has become Cheng Yichen’s supervisor. Fa Xuange and He Jiashu are among the supporting players around the two leads.

Before performing he worked as a product manager at a consulting firm, and he signed with Mediacorp in 2019. Mediacorp’s partnership with Huanyu Entertainment gives him representation in China, which is how a Singapore-based actor came to lead Double Helix, a series adapted from Lan Lin’s novel.
In my view the route matters more than any single credit: Mediacorp leads first, then a formal partnership for China, then a male lead in a Mandarin co-production. I would begin with Double Helix and then go back to Truths About Us and The Unbreakable Bond, the two Mediacorp series in which he carried the lead.
