Fujoking

BIOGRAPHY

Fujoking (Korean 푸죠킹, sometimes romanised Pujoking) is a South Korean Boys’ Love webtoon artist and a pen name. The best known credit is Payback (페이백), the manhwa adaptation of samK’s web novel, which the 2026 Thai series Payback in turn adapts. On that comic Fujoking is credited as illustrator only, and the story is samK’s.

Payback began serialising on Bomtoon on June 2, 2021, releasing on the 10th, 20th and 30th of each month, and is published in official English translation by Lezhin Comics. The main run closed at 95 episodes in November 2024, and a fourteen-chapter side story, Abduction, finished in August 2025. Kidari Studio has collected the series into seven print volumes.

Payback is the one title where Fujoking works from someone else’s script. The other credited works are self-written and self-drawn: Peach Love (2015), You Jin (2016), Seven Days of Lust: Omegaverse Anthology (2017), PAID (2019) and SexventureApp (2019), all published in English by Lezhin Comics. Secret Virgin (2017) and Cairo (2017 to 2018) are also attributed to Fujoking by Anime-Planet, though they are not on Lezhin’s artist page.

The Thai series built on the comic ran for ten episodes on One 31 from May 30 to August 1, 2026, on Saturday nights, with iQIYI carrying it abroad. It follows Sun, a former debt collector who now works as a delivery rider and finds that the ex-boyfriend who ruined him has become an actor under the name Sunny. To get close to Sunny he enters an entertainment company, where his plans cross with those of Jay, a senior director. Min Thanakorn Wichanukhor plays Sun, Toptap Jarukit Kaewmoonrueang plays Jay, and Woodie Pongchaiphat Sethanand directs.

Kidari Studio, the publisher of the Payback comic, is also listed among the producers of the Thai series.

The producer list of the 2026 Thai series carries Kidari Studio beside Raize Up Production, Aplan International Group, Copus Japan and Fuji Television Network. The comic’s publisher took a place in the production as well as licensing the story.

The serialisation details and credited creators sit on Payback (Manhwa), and the cast, episode count and broadcasters on Payback.

In my view the Fujoking credit reads best in two halves. The self-written titles sit between 2015 and 2019, and the years from 2021 belong to Payback, a story drawn for someone else. What stayed with me is how much of a long serialisation rests on one artist’s hand: ninety-five main episodes plus a side story, released three times a month, all carrying the same faces. For anyone who meets the Thai series first, the comic is the place to see those characters as they were first drawn.
