Keetawat Chinnakote
BIOGRAPHY
Keetawat Chinnakote is a Thai producer and music professional. The credit record starts in sound and ends in the producer’s chair without ever leaving sound behind, and it runs straight through two industries that are usually discussed as though they had nothing to do with each other: Thai horror and Thai queer cinema.
The earliest credits are musical. Music on the horror anthology School Tales (เรื่องผีมีอยู่ว่า.., 12 January 2017). Music score producer on Pee Nak (พี่นาค, 21 February 2019). Music supervisor on Pee Nak 3 (17 March 2022). Most recently, original music composer on Pee Nak 5 (3 March 2026). Four credits across nine years on Thailand’s most durable horror franchise and its neighbours.
In November 2022 the job description changes. Keetawat is credited as producer on Finding the Rainbow (สุดท้าย…ที่ปลายรุ้ง), a fourteen episode romance from VelCurve Studio, directed and co-written by Thanadol Nuansut, whose story runs across the Black May events of 1992, September 2001 and the pandemic of 2021. TMDB carries no BL or GL classification for that series, so this site does not assign one.
Then Uranus 2324 (ยูเรนัส 2324, 4 July 2024), a girls’ love science fiction feature running one hundred and forty eight minutes, again from VelCurve Studio and again directed by Thanadol Nuansut. Keetawat holds three credits on it at once: executive producer, producer and sound supervisor. The score is by Ekkaphop Khioyasit and Teeraphong Pathumrat, Arnon Chunprasert shot it, and Pongsapak Akkaramongkolchai and Teppharit Sutthichaiya designed the sound.
The record holds credits and nothing else. Birth date, birthplace, biography, accounts and gender are all absent. Wikipedia has pages on Uranus 2324 and Love Design but none on the producer behind them, and a production credit does not license a personal detail.
BLGLFlix editorial view
The Pee Nak credits are the interesting half of this page, and they are not a detour. This site has now recorded the same crossing three separate times. The composers of Uranus 2324, Ekkaphop Khioyasit and Teeraphong Pathumrat, also work on the Pee Nak horror films. Thai queer directors we have profiled came up through action cinema, one of them as a second assistant director on Ong Bak 3. And here is a producer who scored horror films for five years before producing a GL feature, and who was still composing for Pee Nak 5 in 2026.
Thai BL and GL is often described as though it grew out of fandom and idol culture. The credit lists say something less romantic and more useful: it is being made by Thailand’s genre film workforce. The people who know how to build tension with sound, shoot fast on a budget and deliver a franchise instalment on schedule are the same people making the queer titles. That is a large part of why Thai queer productions look finished in a way that comparable work elsewhere in the region often does not. The craft was already there, earning a living on ghost films.
The second thing worth naming is VelCurve Studio. Two productions, 2022 and 2024, same director, same producer, and a hundred and forty eight minute science fiction feature as the second of them. Thai queer output is usually narrated through GMMTV and Idol Factory. In this pass alone this site has now had to name Baanchan Production, GYB Entertainment and VelCurve Studio as well, each with a multi year queer record and almost no international recognition. The Thai industry is considerably deeper than its two famous studios, and the depth is where the interesting work is.
Last, the shape of this particular career. Music, then music plus producing, then three simultaneous jobs on one feature, then back to composing for a horror sequel two years later. Nothing is abandoned. In an industry where a person can be executive producer of a GL science fiction film and the composer of the fifth entry in a ghost franchise inside the same twenty four months, the category boundaries that critics use are not the ones the workforce lives by.
