BIOGRAPHY
Kusolin Mekviphat (Thai: กุศลิน เมฆวิภาต, also romanised Kusalin) is a Thai television screenwriter whose produced credits run from 2016 to 2026. Eleven series carry the name, across Channel 3, GMM 25, ONE 31, WeTV, Disney+ Hotstar and LINE TV. Five are queer romance: four boys’ love series and one girls’ love series.
The first credit is Broken Home (วัยแสบสาแหรกขาด), 36 episodes for Channel 3 and LINE TV, which began in March 2016. Miss Culinary (นางสาวก้นครัว), a thirteen episode cooking comedy drama, followed on GMM 25 in November 2019.
In September 2020 came My Gear And Your Gown (เกียร์สีขาวกับกาวน์สีฝุ่น), twelve episodes on GMM 25 and WeTV, adapted from a novel. It is a campus story built on a promise made years earlier between a medical student and an engineering student.
Two mainstream series followed: Somewhere Our Love Begins (วิมานทราย), a 24 episode historical revenge romance for ONE 31 that began in November 2021, and Sao Noi Roi Mic (สาวน้อยร้อยไมค์), a 30 episode music romance from August 2022. Between them sits Dear Doctor, I’m Coming For Soul (คุณหมอครับ ผมมารับวิญญาณคนไข้), twelve episodes on GMM 25 produced by Studio Wabi Sabi in 2022, a supernatural boys’ love series in which a surgeon argues daily with Death. Here the credit is Screenstory rather than Screenplay.
Pluto (นิทาน ดวงดาว ความรัก) aired on GMM 25 from 19 October 2024 to 4 January 2025, twelve episodes produced by GMMTV. Kusolin Mekviphat holds the screenplay credit, adapting a novel by Chao Planoy. A twin falls into a coma after a wedding night accident, and her overlooked sister steps into her life to end a relationship, only to find that the other woman is blind and knows nothing.
The sister who steps in, Ai-oon, is played by Tipnaree Weerawatnodom, known as Namtan, and May by Rachanun Mahawan, known as Film. Episodes ran about fifty five minutes, and the series also streamed on YouTube and Viu. Its opening and ending themes, Pluto and A Princess’ Tale, both feature the two leads.
Three more series followed in 2025. Reset (การเกิดใหม่ของดวงดาว) ran ten episodes on Channel 3 from June 2025, a boys’ love time travel revenge story set in the entertainment industry. The Thirsty Thirty (30 เพิ่งเริ่มต้น), a remake produced by Linmon Pictures, ran twenty episodes on WeTV and Disney+ Hotstar from August 2025. Melody of Secrets (ความลับในบทเพลงที่บรรเลงไม่รู้จบ) ran ten episodes on ONE 31 from 5 December 2025 to 13 February 2026, produced by GMMTV with Snap25, a boys’ love crime thriller about an amnesiac journalist and a criminologist working a series of murders.
The leads of Melody of Secrets are Jiratchapong Srisang, known as Force, as Tankhun Rongsompong, and Kasidet Plookphol, known as Book, as Botphleng Thayadol. Tawan Charuchinda and Arisa Wawwanjit directed it, and Phoutida Nosavan shares the screenplay credit. Episodes ran between forty five and fifty minutes.
Pluto is the only girls’ love series among four boys’ love titles.
The 2024 series Pluto credits Snap25 Team, a collective, in the director role rather than a named person. Snap25 returns fourteen months later as a co-production company on Melody of Secrets, alongside GMMTV.
Pluto is adapted from the novel by Chao Planoy, and the same source work is filed as Pluto (Novel).
In my view the quickest way to see this writer’s range is to set Pluto beside Melody of Secrets: a romance that turns on a deception and a thriller that turns on a lost memory, each built around something one partner cannot say aloud.
