BIOGRAPHY
Liao Wei-po (Chinese: 廖偉博, also credited as Weipo Liao; born 12 September 1994) is a Taiwanese actor and, on the evidence of his filmography, one of the few performers on this site whose screen career has been built almost entirely inside boys’ love.
He came to acting sideways. He graduated from National Chin-Yi University of Technology with a degree in mechanical engineering, then entered the profession through the second cohort of the 華流之星 actor training programme, which is where his career formally begins.
His first significant credit is Yan Zhao-gang in Be Loved in House: I Do (約．定), the twelve-episode Taiwanese BL that ran on KKTV from 20 May to 29 July 2021, produced by SPO Entertainment with BRAINS. Two years later he played Guo Zheng-hong across ten episodes of Stay by My Side (免疫屏蔽), the supernatural BL that ran on Vidol from 7 July to 1 September 2023, produced by Vidol with Sanlih E-Television. In 2026 he plays Xiao Lai across all thirteen episodes of Connecting to You (整個世界，只有你連上了我), the GrX Studio series directed by Yu Jhi-han.
Around those he has kept working in shorter forms. He appeared in the 2021 special-education short film My Secret Partner (我的秘密夥伴) as Chen Bo-han, in a 2023 student festival short, and on stage in a 2020 production of Shamlet (莎姆雷特). He has also appeared in music videos in 2024 and 2026. A television film, Calls of Desire (晚安，晚安), is recorded as in post-production with no release date set; he is credited as Yung Ming Lin.

Three boys’ love series in five years, on three different platforms, for three different production setups. KKTV in 2021, Vidol with Sanlih E-Television in 2023, GrX Studio in 2026. Twelve episodes, then ten, then thirteen. That is not an actor who did a BL once; that is an actor whose working life has run through the genre, across essentially the whole Taiwanese BL production landscape.
The route in is worth naming too, because it is a real and under-described pipeline. A mechanical engineering degree, then an actor training class as the formal entry point rather than a drama school or an agency scouting him. Taiwan runs several of these programmes and they feed directly into the streaming drama market. When people ask where the cast of a mid-budget Taiwanese BL comes from, this is one of the honest answers, and it is a different answer from the idol-agency pipeline that supplies Thai and Korean productions.
His two earlier BL titles, Be Loved in House: I Do and Stay by My Side, are both substantial Taiwanese productions from major platforms, and both are worth seeking out for anyone following his work rather than following a single series.
