Pawis Sowsrion
BIOGRAPHY
Pawis Sowsrion (Thai: ภาวิส เสาร์ศรีอ่อน), known by the nickname Film (ฟิล์ม), born 11 April 1991 in Narathiwat, is a Thai director, screenwriter and co-producer who has spent his entire professional life at GMMTV. He directed and wrote all ten episodes of Crazy Love, Moo-Moo! (2026).
He joined GMMTV in 2015 and his first credits are as a writer: Wifi Society: Gray Secret (2015), Senior Secret Love (2016) and all twelve episodes of Secret Seven (2017). His debut as a director came in 2018 with YOUniverse, which he also wrote. The same year he directed the Pick and Rome and Pete and Kao segments of Our Skyy, again writing as well as directing.
YOUniverse premiered on LINE TV and YouTube on 24 April 2018, with new episodes on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 pm, and finished on 3 May. It is a four-episode romance in which each instalment runs between eight and eleven minutes, and its main cast is Nanon Korapat Kirdpan, Jan Ployshompoo Supasap, Chimon Wachirawit Ruangwiwat and Ciize Rutricha Phapakithi.
After his directing debut he kept taking other jobs on set. He worked as assistant director on Theory of Love (2019) and its special episode Stand By Me (2020), on I’m Tee, Me Too (2020) and on Cherry Magic (2023). He wrote all thirteen episodes of Wolf (2019). He directed and wrote Girl2K (2021, 10 episodes) and directed Enchanté (2022, 10 episodes). In 2025 he took a second assistant director credit on Me and Thee, and in 2026 he is credited as editor on Thee and Thee alongside directing and writing Crazy Love, Moo-Moo!
Girl2K aired on GMM 25 and LINE TV from 17 February to 18 March 2021. Its heroine Momay, a short story writer for an online magazine, looks young although she is 2,000 years old, and to break an immortality curse she has to find true love among four suitors: a neighbour, her boss, a client and a journalist. The search becomes tangled with a murder mystery. Sushar Manaying plays Momay, Pathompong Reonchaidee plays Moo-Tod and Jumpol Adulkittiporn plays Tawin.
Enchanté aired on GMM 25 every Friday at 8:30 pm from 28 January to 1 April 2022. Kasidet Plookphol plays Theo, who comes back to Thailand from France and finds anonymous replies signed Enchanté in a university library book. With his childhood friend Akk, played by Jiratchapong Srisang, he tries to work out which of four students who each claim the messages is the real writer. The series is based on a novel by NinePinta and uses both Thai and French.
He also appears on screen in small parts: Room Alone (2014), Secret Seven (2017) as Play’s boss, Wolf (2019) as a glasses shop assistant and Vice Versa (2022). Outside series work he has directed music videos for GMMTV, including Love Score by SIZZY and Nanon.
A GMMTV crew member who has worked as writer, assistant director, editor and director since 2015.
Every one of his credits between 2014 and 2026 is a GMMTV production. He was assistant director on Theory of Love and Cherry Magic, and in 2025 he took a second assistant director credit on Me and Thee, three years after directing Enchanté.
His work at one company spans six roles: writer, assistant director, second assistant director, editor, director and occasional actor.
The lengths of his work fall into two sets. As a writer he has handled the longer formats, twelve episodes for Secret Seven in 2017 and thirteen for Wolf in 2019. As a director the three series credited to him, Girl2K in 2021, Enchanté in 2022 and Crazy Love, Moo-Moo! in 2026, run ten episodes each, which gives his directing a consistent format across five years. Two of those three he also wrote. The titles around the Thee name offer a second thread: he was assistant director on Theory of Love in 2019, second assistant director on Me and Thee in 2025 and editor on Thee and Thee in 2026, so the later credits sit in the same family of productions as his own 2026 series.
In my view, the clearest way to see his range is to set YOUniverse beside Enchanté. Between them the episode grows from eight minutes to about forty, and the story moves from a small ensemble of four to a mystery built around four suspects, so the same number does very different work.
