Petch Boranin
BIOGRAPHY
Petch Boranin (Thai: เพชร โบราณินทร์, born 6 May 1998) is a Thai actor signed to The One Enterprise. He finished secondary school at Surasakmontree School and took a bachelor’s degree in performing arts and film at Rangsit University.
He came into the industry through modelling. In 2016 Pik Chanchalard, formerly the manager of the actor James Jirayu, invited him to do photo shoots, commercials and runway work. In 2017 he reached the final twenty of the Men’s Fitness Cool Guy Search, and a contract with Channel One 31 followed.
His first screen appearance was a bit part in Mia 2018. His first proper drama role came in 2019 in Rak Mai Luem, as Thongchai. The same year he appeared in Sailap Jap Klin and took a main cast role in Si Thep Phu Phithak as Bank Kroekphon. Guest parts have continued beside the leads, among them Saranjee in The Curse of Saree (2022) and a guest role in The Empress of Ayodhaya (2024).
His first outright leading role came in 2021 with the horror drama Hong Sutthai Mai Lek 6, in which he played Korakot. Later that year he led Phu Pha Phi Khum as Prince Thinnakon, a long running series of forty three episodes. Rak Niramit (2020), Phu Langka (2024) and Songkhram Mo Lam (2025) belong to the same line of leading work. In Mon Rak Kantruem (2024) he plays Kan, a singer in a Bangkok pub who has to return to his home province of Buriram after his father is injured and can no longer play the fiddle.
English-titled credits include My Lovely Bodyguard (2022) as Wenai, The Bride of Naga (2023) as Anekchat, which was his first villain role and brought him a Maya TV Awards nomination, Legend of the Hidden Land (2024) as Nopphana, Hypnotic (2025) as Bank and The Bangkok Red Opera (2026) as Chayon. Away from drama he has also been a guest on the game shows Family Feud Thailand and Super Match. The 2026 titles Norah and Rak Khun Thao Chang are also on his list, along with the oneD series Phan Rong Thi Rak.
He plays Mekin in the Channel One 31 Boys’ Love series Flower Boy (หลงกลิ่นเกสร, 2026). The eight episodes aired on Saturday evenings between 25 April and 13 June 2026. A longer edition streamed on oneD, while GagaOOLala carried an English subtitled release. Mekin sits among the staff and rivals around a failing perfume company, and the story itself follows the heir Scent, played by Satjakorn Chalard, and the flower being Kaysorn, played by Peemapol Panichtamrong.
Nine years after signing with Channel One 31, Petch Boranin plays a supporting part in a series built around two other men.
In my view the shape of this career is its most interesting feature. It began in modelling, passed through guest spots and ensemble work, and only then reached leading roles in horror, period and folk drama. Mekin is a step sideways from that position, a part inside someone else’s love story, and Flower Boy gives him a corporate setting after several period series and rural folk stories.
If I had to pick one place to start, it would be The Bride of Naga. Anekchat let him play a villain for the first time and earned the nomination, and set beside the homesick singer of Mon Rak Kantruem it shows how wide a network actor can be asked to range within a couple of years.
