BIOGRAPHY

Suppapong Udomkaewkanjana (Thai: ศุภพงษ์ อุดมแก้วกาญจนา; born 17 April 1998 in Trat), known as Saint (เซ้นต์), is a Thai actor, singer, model and television host, and the founder of the production company Idol Factory. He is of Thai-Chinese descent and carries the Chinese name Huang Mingming (黄明明), given to him by his great-grandfather. Very few people have shaped this vertical from both sides of the camera as directly as he has: he was a BL lead first, then the producer who put Thailand’s first girls’ love series on air.

He was the only son of his family, educated at Trattrakarnkhun School in Trat and then Assumption College in Bangkok. He took a Bachelor of Economics at Srinakharinwirot University, majoring in international trade, and later a Master of Arts in Design for Business at the same university’s College of Social Communication Innovation. He had been doing volunteer work since primary school and continued through university as a committee member of its volunteer development club and a co-founder and vice-chair of its volunteer centre.

He was first approached about entering the industry as a high school student and declined. He came back to it during university through casting calls, modelling and music videos, and made his acting debut in 2018 as Pete in Love By Chance. That role placed him immediately at the centre of the Thai BL wave, and he returned to it repeatedly: Pete again in TharnType (2019), Phat in 2Brothers (2019), Chananthawat in The Fallen Leaf (2019, 21 episodes), Tutor in Why R U (2020, 13 episodes), Aof in Let’s Fight Ghost (2021, 16 episodes), Boyd in School Tales the Series (2022), Thep in Secret Crush On You (2022) and Phum in GAP (2022).

He released his debut single, I Crush On You, on 14 July 2019, co-investing in and co-producing it himself, and joined the five-member group KissBoysTH the same year, which disbanded before the year was out. In 2022 he hosted the music programme T-Pop Stage on Workpoint, and in February that year he formally signed with Channel 3 HD.

Idol Factory

On 24 April 2020 he registered Idol Factory Co. Ltd. as a television production company, alongside a community-focused snack brand aimed at supporting the local economy in his home province. Idol Factory’s first series was Secret Crush On You, broadcast on Channel 3 in early 2022, on which he served as series producer and assistant producer as well as appearing on screen.

The label’s second series is the one that matters most here. Driven, in the company’s own account, by a wish to push for equality for people of diverse genders, Idol Factory put out GAP (ทฤษฎีสีชมพู) in late 2022, the first girls’ love series made in Thailand. He is credited as executive producer across its twelve episodes and appears in it as Phum. He went on to executive produce The Sign (2023, 12 episodes), The Loyal Pin (ปิ่นภักดิ์, 2024, 16 episodes), My Marvellous Dream Is You (2024, 12 episodes) and My Sweetheart Jom (2025), in which he also stars as Jom.

The company scaled quickly. In March 2024 it partnered with DEX to export Thai Y series to the Japanese market. In 2025 it worked with North Star Entertainment and Channel 7 HD on Project 4 Elements, pairing four sets of actors from different labels, and with Workpoint on the reality programme In The 8ight Project to recruit eight actors to the company. The same year it was one of twelve Thai companies taken to the Cannes Film Festival by the Ministry of Commerce as part of Thailand’s soft power push, holding trade talks with Vietnamese and Hong Kong buyers over in-flight distribution and with a Brazilian company over co-investment.

On 19 November 2025 he issued a statement resigning as a director of Idol Factory and ending his contracts as an artist and actor. No reason was given in the statement, and none is assumed here.

His other screen work includes Sing Again (2022, 18 episodes), Death is All Around (2023), Dhevaprom (2024, 63 episodes), Happiness (2025) and The Running of Love and Money (2026).

BLGLFlix editorial view. Put his page next to Kanittha Kwunyoo’s and the real history of Thai GL comes into focus, because the two records tell different halves of it. The standard account credits GMMTV: 23.5 in 2024, made by an experienced BL director, produced with studio discipline. But GMMTV was second. GAP aired in late 2022 from a company that had existed for two years, founded by a twenty-two-year-old BL actor with an economics degree, and it proved the category existed before any major studio was willing to test it. That is the pattern worth naming: the large studios in Thailand did not create GL, they validated it after someone with far less to lose had already demonstrated the audience. That is also why credit here is so often misassigned, and why the resignation of November 2025 is worth registering rather than passing over. Categories built by a single person’s conviction and capital are structurally fragile in exactly the way studio programmes are not, and Thai GL has now had both kinds of parent.
