Fujoking

BIOGRAPHY

Fujoking (Korean 푸죠킹, sometimes romanised Pujoking) is a South Korean Boys’ Love webtoon artist. Outside BL circles the name is known for one thing: Fujoking drew Payback (페이백), the manhwa adaptation of samK’s web novel, which the 2026 Thai series Payback in turn adapts. On that comic Fujoking is credited as illustrator only; the story is samK’s.

Payback began serialising on Bomtoon on June 2, 2021, releasing on the 10th, 20th and 30th of each month, and is published in official English translation by Lezhin Comics. The main run closed at 95 episodes in November 2024 and a fourteen-chapter side story, Abduction, finished in August 2025. Kidari Studio has collected the series into seven print volumes.

What distinguishes the art is restraint rather than polish. The early arcs are deliberately drab, muted colour, heavy negative space, a slow panel rhythm, and the palette only opens up once the story moves into the entertainment industry, so the contrast between Yuhan’s world and Myeong-shin’s does the argument visually. Faces carry the work: Yun Je-i in particular is drawn to read as legible and unreadable at once across ninety-five chapters.

Payback is the outlier in the catalogue in one respect, it is the only title where Fujoking works from someone else’s script. The other credited works are self-written and self-drawn: Peach Love (2015), You Jin (2016), Seven Days of Lust: Omegaverse Anthology (2017), PAID (2019) and SexventureApp (2019), all published in English by Lezhin Comics. Anime-Planet additionally lists Secret Virgin (2017) and Cairo (2017 to 2018), which do not appear on Lezhin’s own artist page.

Fujoking is a pen name and no personal information behind it has been published, no legal name, birth date, photograph or interview. A Tumblr account, fujokin, is widely cited as the artist’s, but BLGLFLIX has not been able to verify it against a second independent source and therefore does not link it. Every physical, biographical and social field on this profile is empty for that reason, not because it was skipped.

FUN FACTS

  • Nobody knows who Fujoking is, no face, no legal name, no interview.
  • Payback is the only title Fujoking draws from someone else’s script.
  • Every other work in the catalogue is written and drawn by the same hand.
  • Peach Love, the earliest work, has passed 2.13 million views on Lezhin.
  • Payback ran on a 10th, 20th, 30th monthly schedule for three and a half years.
  • Ninety-five main chapters, then a fourteen-chapter side story called Abduction.
  • Kidari Studio collected it into seven printed volumes.
  • The Korean name is written 푸죠킹 and romanised Pujoking in some databases.
  • Payback is the first Fujoking work to become a live-action series, in Thailand, not Korea.
  • The early arcs are drawn deliberately drab; the colour only arrives with the fame.
  • Lezhin lists Payback twice: the main series and a separate Introduction entry.
  • This profile carries no photograph, because none exists.

TRIVIA

  • Fujoking is a pen name. No legal name, birth date, birthplace, gender, photograph or interview has ever been published, so those fields are empty here rather than estimated.
  • Nationality is recorded as South Korean on the basis of the work, Korean-language originals, first published on Korean platforms, and not on any biographical statement by the artist.
  • On Payback Fujoking is the artist only. The story and the original web novel are samK’s. Every other credited title is self-written and self-drawn.
  • Payback began on Bomtoon on June 2, 2021 with releases on the 10th, 20th and 30th of each month, and runs in official English on Lezhin Comics.
  • The main run ended at 95 episodes on November 20, 2024; the fourteen-chapter side story Abduction ran from March 20 to August 20, 2025. Databases that print 110 are counting prologue, main run and side story together.
  • Kidari Studio has collected the series into seven print volumes, published under Fujoking’s name as the comic’s author.
  • Lezhin Comics carries seven Fujoking titles in English: Payback, Payback (Introduction), Peach Love, You Jin, PAID, SexventureApp and Seven Days of Lust: Omegaverse Anthology.
  • Peach Love, the earliest dated work, has passed 2.13 million views and 103,700 likes on Lezhin and is marked complete.
  • Anime-Planet additionally credits Secret Virgin (2017) and Cairo (2017 to 2018). Neither appears on Lezhin’s own artist page, so both are attributed to that database rather than stated as established fact.
  • Payback is the first Fujoking work to reach live action, and it did so in Thailand rather than Korea, a cross-border adaptation of a Korean BL property.
  • Most of the catalogue is written for an adult audience, and the Korean platforms carrying it require age verification before a series can be opened.
  • A Tumblr account under the handle fujokin is widely cited as the artist’s, but it could not be confirmed against a second independent source and is therefore not linked from this profile.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who is Fujoking?

Fujoking is a South Korean Boys’ Love webtoon artist, best known as the illustrator of the manhwa Payback (페이백), written by samK and serialised on Bomtoon from June 2021. The name is a pen name and no personal identity behind it has been published.

Did Fujoking write Payback?

No. Fujoking drew it. The story is samK’s, who wrote the original Korean web novel in 2010 and is credited as the manhwa’s writer. Payback is the only Fujoking title where the script comes from another author.

What else has Fujoking drawn?

Lezhin Comics carries seven Fujoking titles in English: Payback, Payback (Introduction), Peach Love, You Jin, PAID, SexventureApp and Seven Days of Lust: Omegaverse Anthology. Anime-Planet additionally lists Secret Virgin and Cairo, which do not appear on Lezhin’s own artist page.

What was Fujoking's first work?

Peach Love, dating to 2015, is the earliest work on record. It is a completed BL series with gangster and high-school elements and has passed 2.13 million views on Lezhin Comics.

Where can I read Fujoking's comics in English?

On Lezhin Comics, which holds the official English rights to the catalogue. The Korean originals run on Bomtoon, with Payback also on Naver Series and Mr Blue. BLGLFLIX links only to licensed publishers and does not reproduce any pages.

Is Fujoking male or female?

Not disclosed. No source states the artist’s gender, and BLGLFLIX leaves the gender and pronoun fields blank rather than infer one from the pen name.

What is Fujoking's real name?

Unknown. Fujoking is a pen name and no legal name has ever been published, along with no birth date, birthplace, photograph or interview. That is why most fields on this profile are empty.

How is Fujoking's name written in Korean?

푸죠킹. It is also romanised as Pujoking in some databases, and the artist’s Tumblr handle is given as fujokin. All three refer to the same person.

Does Fujoking have social media?

A Tumblr account under the handle fujokin is widely cited as the artist’s, but it could not be verified against a second independent source, so it is not linked here. No other verified account has been located.

How many chapters of Payback did Fujoking draw?

Ninety-five main episodes, which ended on November 20, 2024, plus the fourteen-chapter side story Abduction that finished on August 20, 2025. Counts of 110 include the prologue and the side story together.

Is the Payback manhwa finished?

Yes, completely. The main run and the side story are both closed, and Kidari Studio has collected the series into seven print volumes. No further Payback material has been announced.

What is Fujoking's art style like?

Muted and deliberately unglamorous in the early arcs, restrained colour, heavy negative space, a slow panel rhythm, with the palette opening up when the story moves into the entertainment industry. Faces do most of the emotional work.

Is Fujoking involved in the Thai Payback series?

Not as a member of the production. The 2026 Thai series adapts the manhwa, so the work is credited as source material, and Kidari Studio, the manhwa’s publisher, is credited on the production. The Thai screenplay is by Sammon.

Does Fujoking have a Wikipedia page?

No Wikipedia article about Fujoking exists in any language as of August 2026. The name appears in the English Wikipedia article on Payback (Thai TV series), which credits Fujoking as the webtoon’s illustrator.

Why does this profile have no photograph?

Because no image of Fujoking exists publicly. The identity behind the pen name has never been revealed, and BLGLFLIX does not substitute an unrelated or unverified picture. No webtoon artwork is used in its place either, since that would be a use of the work rather than a portrait of the artist.
