Mook Jarinee Thanomyat
BIOGRAPHY
Mook Jarinee Thanomyat (Thai: จารินี ถนอมญาติ; birth date not publicly disclosed) is a Thai television screenwriter working chiefly for GMMTV. She is one of the three credited writers on Cherry Magic (2023), the Thai adaptation of Yuu Toyota’s Boys’ Love manga, alongside Manow Waneepan Ounphoklang and PingPong Suwanun Pohgudsai.
Her name carries a romanisation conflict. TMDB lists her as Jarinee Thanomyat with the Thai form จารินี ถนอมญาติ, while one drama database records her as Jarini Thanomkat in both its URL and its alternate-name field. ญาติ transliterates closer to “yat” than to “kat”, which favours the display form, but no authoritative source settles it. BLGLFLIX uses Thanomyat and records Thanomkat as a variant.
Her earliest credits are Malee (2015) and Gasohug (2016). In 2018 she worked on four titles in a single year, The Gifted, Social Syndrome, Notification and Kiddee Clinic, followed by Sucker Kick and 4Freaks 4Fam (2019) and the body-swap comedy The Shipper (2020), which remains one of her best-known assignments internationally.
Her 2020s credits include Angkhan Khlumpong, 55:15 Never Too Late and F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers (2021); Enigma, UMG and Cherry Magic (2023); Summer Night and Peaceful Property (2024); and The Tipsy Mystery, Enigma Black Stage and The Dark Dice (2025). On Peaceful Property she is credited specifically for screen story rather than screenplay, a distinction TMDB records separately.
Two further projects, Oxytoxin and the film Overacting, are listed without release dates, and she has one voice credit, on Enigma Black Stage (2025). Her filmography is one of the longest in the Cherry Magic writing room and covers supernatural thriller, mystery, comedy and romance as readily as Boys’ Love. Beyond her credits, her name variants and that single voice credit, no biographical material about her is published anywhere, so this profile stops there rather than speculating.
