Bas Hatsanat Piniwat
BIOGRAPHY
Hatsanat Piniwat (Thai: หัสณัฐ พินิวัตร์; also known by his earlier legal name Suradet Piniwat; born March 4, 1999) is a Thai-American-Chinese actor and singer, known by his nickname Bas, signed to Studio Wabi Sabi. He is best recognized for playing North opposite Ratchata “Maxky” Pichetshote’s Johan in the boys’ love franchise Fourever You (2024) and its sequel Fourever You Part 2 (2025-2026), a pairing known as JohanNorth.
Born in Bangkok and raised in Chiang Mai, Bas is of Thai, American, and Chinese heritage. He was a competitive table tennis player at the youth national level in northern Thailand before transitioning into entertainment, and completed his GED before continuing into university-level communication arts studies. His younger sister, Praepailin Piniwat, is a former BNK48 trainee.
Bas earned his first leading role in the Thai BL series 2Moons: The Series (2017) as Wayo. In 2018, he debuted as a vocalist with the boy group SBFIVE, where he is the group’s youngest member. His subsequent acting credits include Cinderella Chef as Ming Ja and Gen Y as Wayu.
In 2024, Bas was cast as North in Fourever You, one of the franchise’s two lead couples alongside Easter (Katsamonnat “Earth” Namwirote) and Hill (Ponlawit “Pond” Ketprapakorn). He reprised North as a supporting cast member across the arcs of Fourever You Part 2 (2025-2026), including the couple-focused special Fourever You Specials (Johan & North) built around his and Maxky’s characters.
Alongside acting, Bas has released collaborative singles with fellow SBFIVE members, including “Girl Went Gone” (2020).
Fourever You adapts a five-novel set that Howlsairy published between 2018 and 2022.
The author posted on Dek-D under the account name Howlvy and printed under the Howlsairy byline. Four of the books carry compass points in their titles. The fifth, Lately, It’s Winter Season, does not.
Bas plays North, a character who arrives from the set’s 2019 entry, published as North: How Much Is Your Love? Fourever You adapted that book alongside East: Tag!, You’re Mine in a single seventeen-episode run. Part 2 then gave each remaining novel an eight-episode arc of its own, numbered straight through from one to twenty-four. Beside the Sky takes the first eight, and the two later arcs pick up at nine and at seventeen.
That is why a first-season lead appears as supporting cast in the second: each arc moves on to the next book.
