Bas Hatsanat Piniwat

Hatsanat Piniwat (Thai: หัสณัฐ พินิวัตร์; also known by his earlier legal name Suradet Piniwat; born March 4, 1999) is a Thai-American-Chinese actor and singer, known by his nickname Bas, signed to Studio Wabi Sabi. He is best recognized for playing North opposite Ratchata “Maxky” Pichetshote’s Johan in the boys’ love franchise Fourever You (2024) and its sequel Fourever You Part 2 (2025-2026), a pairing fans have labeled JohanNorth.

Born in Bangkok and raised in Chiang Mai, Bas is of Thai, American, and Chinese heritage. He was a competitive table tennis player at the youth national level in northern Thailand before transitioning into entertainment, and completed his GED before continuing into university-level communication arts studies. His younger sister, Praepailin Piniwat, is a former BNK48 trainee.

Bas earned his first leading role in the breakout Thai BL series 2Moons: The Series (2017) as Wayo, one of the titles that helped define the modern Thai BL genre. In 2018, he debuted as a vocalist with the boy group SBFIVE, where he is the group’s youngest member. His subsequent acting credits include Cinderella Chef as Ming Ja and Gen Y as Wayu.

In 2024, Bas was cast as North in Fourever You, one of the franchise’s two lead couples alongside Easter (Katsamonnat “Earth” Namwirote) and Hill (Ponlawit “Pond” Ketprapakorn). He reprised North as a supporting cast member across the arcs of Fourever You Part 2 (2025-2026), including the couple-focused special Fourever You Specials (Johan & North) built around his and Maxky’s characters.

As a member of SBFIVE, Bas continues to balance his acting career with music, having released collaborative singles including “Girl Went Gone” (2020) alongside fellow group members.
