The MaxkyBas pairing began at Studio Wabi Sabi in 2024, when Maxky Ratchata Pichetshote and Bas Hatsanat Piniwat were cast as Johan and North, the second lead couple in Fourever You, adapted from Howlsairy’s “Four Doctors” novel series. Their storyline draws from the novel “North: How Much Is Your Love?” and follows North accumulating debt after a night of drinking, with Johan pursuing repayment in a rivalry that develops into something more.
The pair’s popularity carried the roles beyond the original season: Studio Wabi Sabi produced a standalone two-episode couple special, Special Episode JohanNorth: The Glowing of Love, released in May 2025 and written by the franchise’s novelist, Howlsairy, focused entirely on North and Johan as an established couple. Maxky and Bas then returned as Johan and North in a recurring supporting capacity across all three arcs of Fourever You Part 2 (2025-2026). Fans and the pair themselves have used the hashtag #MaxkyBas throughout, and in 2025 the pair announced an official fandom name, 6CODE, during a livestreamed fan interaction.
Maxky and Bas went from a second lead couple to a pairing with a two-episode Special of its own.
The Special is Fourever You Specials (Johan & North). It runs two episodes of roughly 52 minutes, built around Johan and North on their own. Both series carry a 13+ rating, while the Special is rated PG.
Counted together, the joint screen time comes to about 40 hours: seventeen episodes of Fourever You, two of the Special, then twenty four of Fourever You Part 2, all under Studio Wabi Sabi.
The pairing was introduced inside another couple’s storyline and later received a release with Johan and North as its only subject.
<p>Johan and North's dynamic in <em>Fourever You</em> is built on friction that curdles into affection: Johan, initially just chasing an unpaid debt, keeps circling back to North despite himself, while North's defensive bickering slowly gives way to dependence on the person hounding him. That antagonistic-to-affectionate arc gave Maxky and Bas a sharper, more comedic register than the series' other lead pair, contributing to demand for their own standalone couple special. In <em>Special Episode JohanNorth: The Glowing of Love</em>, the two shifted into a settled, domestic mode, showing an established relationship rather than a courtship. Across <em>Fourever You Part 2</em>, Johan and North reappear as a steady, already-together couple within the wider friend group, reinforcing the pairing built up over the franchise's first season.</p>
