Unexpectedly Naughty Fukami (Japanese: やたらやらしい深見くん, Hepburn: Yatara Yarashii Fukami-kun) is a 2026 Japanese BL workplace romantic-comedy live-action drama series adapted from Ayaka Matsumoto's (松本あやか) BL manga of the same name. The 10-episode mini drama is directed by Eriko Shirai (Emiko Shirai), produced by Kazuhiro Itō, and written for the screen by Nao Shioji. The series stars Atsuki Kashio as Kaji Akihiro and Yū Miyazaki as Yu Fukami, two emerging Japanese BL leads making waves in the JBL workplace-romance subgenre.

The story follows Kaji Akihiro (Atsuki Kashio), a polished sales ace at a Tokyo company who everyone admires for his good looks, smooth client relationships, and effortless professional charm. What no one knows is that Kaji is secretly a self-absorbed playboy who silently scores his colleagues based on attractiveness, finding most of them painfully average. When his manager pairs him with Yu Fukami (Yū Miyazaki), a quiet and apparently dishevelled colleague, on an overnight business trip, Kaji expects two days of boredom. Instead, after-hours conversation reveals that Fukami shares Kaji's cynical view of love and casual relationships, and the encounter that follows leaves Kaji shaken in a way no client has ever managed. What begins as a no-strings arrangement between two men who pride themselves on emotional detachment slowly, awkwardly, blossoms into something neither of them is prepared to call a real romance.

Unexpectedly Naughty Fukami premiered on Tokyo MX on April 7, 2026 at 1:20 AM Japan time (officially April 6 at 25:20 in Japanese broadcast notation), with new episodes airing weekly on Tuesday late-night slots. The series streams on DMM TV and TVer in Japan and on GagaOOLala internationally with English subtitles. Each episode runs a tight 13 minutes, a format common to Japanese late-night BL adaptations such as Cherry Magic and My Personal Weatherman. The source manga has been serialized on ComicFesta under the Screamo label since December 7, 2022, with four bound volumes published by Suiseisha and English releases via Coolmic, Renta!, and Seven Seas Entertainment. A standalone anime adaptation by Studio Hōkiboshi aired from March to June 2025 in both standard broadcast and extended streaming versions. As of May 7, 2026, five of the ten live-action episodes have aired, with the season finale scheduled for June 9, 2026.
