Unexpectedly Naughty Fukami (Manga)

Unexpectedly Naughty Fukami (Japanese: やたらやらしい深見くん, Hepburn: Yatara Yarashii Fukami-kun) is an ongoing Japanese BL workplace romantic-comedy manga written and illustrated by Ayaka Matsumoto, serialized digitally on ComicFesta since December 7, 2022 and collected by Suiseisha into bound volumes (four volumes as of January 2026). It is the original source for both the 2025 anime and the 2026 live-action drama. The story follows Kaji Akihiro, a sales ace admired for his looks and charm who is secretly a self-absorbed playboy silently rating his colleagues, and Yu Fukami, a quiet, frumpily dressed IT colleague who turns out to be surprisingly beautiful beneath the baggy clothes. After they are forced to share a room on a business trip, an unexpected encounter begins the obstinate, complicated relationship between a narcissist and a deceptively gorgeous otaku. The manga is published in English digitally by Coolmic and Renta!, and in print by Seven Seas Entertainment under its BL imprint, with the first English volume scheduled for September 29, 2026.
