BIOGRAPHY
Beck is a Taiwanese novelist, born in Taiwan, and the author of the web novel behind Connecting to You (整個世界，只有你連上了我), the Taiwanese boys’ love series that began airing on 14 August 2026 and runs twelve episodes plus a special. Beck holds both a novel credit and a creator credit on it.
The series is produced by GrX Studio and Force Films. Yu Jhi-han directs and shares the screenplay credit with Wen Huei-ming. Chen Pao-ying and Hou Shuai-an produce, and the Taiwanese band 理想混蛋 performs the theme song. Bruce Chiu and Liu Yu-ren lead. The premise gives its protagonist the ability to see emotional bonds as coloured threads, and the first one belonging to him leads to a police officer, so the show runs as a case of the week procedural with a romance underneath it. It is tagged as boys’ love (bl), gay romance, fantasy, investigation, based on novel or book and based on web novel.
It reached viewers through five services at once: Viki, GagaOOLala, MyVideo, friDay Video and iQIYI International.
Beck’s one screen adaptation, Connecting to You, opened on five streaming services on 14 August 2026.
Viki, GagaOOLala, MyVideo, friDay Video and iQIYI International all carry the series, which GrX Studio and Force Films produced. Force Films also produced the 2019 BL short Gentleman Spa by the same director, Yu Jhi-han, seven years earlier.
Beck is credited twice on the series, as novelist and as creator, so the source author sits in the credits alongside the screenwriters Wen Huei-ming and Yu Jhi-han.
