Our page for this author listed three adaptations. There are six, and three of them have not aired yet. That is the single most useful correction on this page. A danmei novelist with three unreleased screen adaptations in production simultaneously is not a footnote to one series; she is one of the most actively adapted authors currently working in the form, and this database was describing her as the person who wrote the book behind one show.

The A Round Trip to Love case is worth understanding on its own. Very few danmei novels get adapted twice. Fewer still get adapted twice a decade apart into completely different formats, first as a pair of films in 2016 and then as a twelve episode international series in 2026. That gap tells you something about how the market changed. In 2016 a Chinese BL adaptation was a small film release; in 2026 the same source material supports a Chinese-Singaporean co-production with a Singaporean lead, distributed on four platforms across most of the world. The novel did not change. The industry around it did.

The 2026 production also has a detail we think is underdiscussed. Ayden Sng is Singaporean, and taking the lead in Double Helix was both his first BL and his first leading role in the Chinese market; he signed with the Chinese agency Mejoy Entertainment, which co-produced the series, in April 2026. That is a specific route into the Chinese-language BL market that avoids the mainland’s own broadcast restrictions entirely: a co-production, an overseas lead, and international streaming distribution rather than a domestic platform. It is worth watching whether other productions follow it.

A correction to our own records. Earlier in this rewrite programme we removed a citation to the English Wikipedia article on Double Helix from another profile, on the ground that the article did not exist. We checked again directly against Wikipedia’s own interface and the article does exist. The fault was ours, not the source’s, and the citation has been restored here and on the profile where we removed it. We are recording that rather than quietly reinstating it, because a source we wrongly called non-existent is exactly the kind of mistake that compounds if nobody writes it down.

On what this page does not say: we have no confirmed legal name, nationality detail beyond the language she writes in, or biography for this author. Danmei writers frequently publish under pen names and keep no public profile, and we are not going to reconstruct one from fan wikis. The work is documented. The person, deliberately, is not.
