What happens

Fix the Error! (Korean: 오류를 고쳐줘!; RR: Oryureul Gochyeojwo) is a 2026 South Korean boys' love fantasy-romance told in six short-form episodes, and its hero is still working toward the licence he has been trying to earn. Kang Ji-han (Kan Hyeon-bae) has failed the grim reaper exam eight times over. His senior hands him one final chance, five days in the human world, one soul to collect, and Ji-han descends with a death ledger and every intention of finally getting something right. Then he collides with a stranger on the street, coffee goes across the page, and the single name he was sent to find is left smudged past reading.

What the damaged ledger yields now is two names where there should be one, and two living men who both appear to answer to it: Lee Hyun-jun (Lee Hyun-jun) and Kim Young-hee (Kim Yung-hee). A routine assignment turns into impossible arithmetic, one death is owed, two candidates are listed, and the five-day clock is indifferent to which. Worse for Ji-han, proximity becomes attachment, and the underworld's oldest rule is that a reaper feels nothing for the living. Kang-hyun (Jung Jung-hwan) and Kim Jae-hyun (Kwak Geon-hee) round out the human side of the story, standing close enough to both candidates to raise the price of whatever Ji-han finally decides.

Written and directed by Yoo Jung-hyeok for Fangle Studio, the series released two episodes a week between June 12 and June 26, 2026, running roughly six to eleven minutes per installment, so the complete season fits inside a single hour. It streamed on Shortime in Korea and internationally on GagaOOLala with English subtitles from launch, and it is an original screenplay rather than a webtoon or novel adaptation.

Fix the Error! is a bite-sized Korean BL built on one hook: a rookie grim reaper, a coffee-stained death ledger, and two living men who suddenly share the same fate.

The Concept

The supernatural premise, a rookie reaper who has failed his exam eight times getting one last five-day chance, puts romantic stakes into very little screen time. Kan Hyeon-bae carries the central role of Ji-han, with Lee Hyun-jun and Kim Yung-hee as the two candidates whose lives hang on his "error."

What to Expect

  • Fast and light: 6 to 11 minute episodes mean the story moves quickly; this is a quick weekend watch rather than a long commitment.
  • Fantasy flavour: the underworld-meets-living-world setup is the main draw.
  • Format: the complete season fits inside a single hour, and the story stays with Ji-han and the two candidates.

The Verdict

A compact, concept-driven supernatural BL that fits into one sitting.

Final Score: 6.5/10

The entire run landed inside fourteen days.

Six episodes went out between 12 and 26 June 2026 on GagaOOLala and YouTube. That is two weeks from first episode to last, and 54 minutes of story in total at nine minutes an instalment.

A rookie reaper gets five days to correct a clerical error, so the story runs on a clock, and the two week release window is close to the deadline inside it. Fangle Studio worked from an original screenplay rather than a novel.

The Lie We Lived In is another 2026 Korean series with instalments under half an hour, at eight episodes of 22 minutes.

A reaper with paperwork. Something has been recorded wrongly, people are arriving when they should not be, and he is sent down to correct one specific error.

The person he meets while doing it is the one he is not allowed to want, and the rules he works under are not suggestions. He goes anyway. What follows is the two of them sitting down and talking it through rather than being pulled apart by the plot, and him moving into the other man's place. Six episodes at nine minutes, so it moves quickly and keeps its charm the whole way. The light touch on the underworld admin is what makes it easy to like.

Themes

The Korean title is a request made to somebody else. 고쳐줘 asks another person to put the mistake right, and the story hands that request to the character least equipped to grant it. Ji-han has failed his qualifying examination eight times and arrives on the last attempt he is allowed. He is the man who damaged the record, and by the underworld's own accounting he has also been a standing error in the system for years, a name that keeps coming back marked incomplete.

That doubling gives fifty-odd minutes its weight. One error sits on the page and another walks around holding the pen, and the person sent to act on it is the only one in the story who knows from the inside what it is to be a name a bureaucracy got wrong.

A reaper romance usually runs on a single prohibition: the dead are not to love the living. This one attaches a counting problem to the rule, so Ji-han's affection cannot stay private. The genre's familiar warning about feeling turns out to be less about a reaper's heart than about what a heart does to a ledger.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who is the Korean title asking?

Somebody other than the speaker. 고쳐줘 is a request made to another person to put a mistake right, and the story hands that request to the character least equipped to grant it.

How many times has the lead sat the qualifying exam?

Eight times without passing, so the premise turns on a grim reaper who has not yet cleared the test that would make him one.

Was the release strictly weekly?

In pairs rather than singly. Two episodes went out together on each of three Fridays, 12, 19 and 26 June 2026.

What is the total running time?

Under an hour. Six episodes of about nine minutes each come to roughly 54 minutes.

Who is in the cast?

Kan Hyeon-bae plays Ji-han (지한), Lee Hyun-jun plays Kim Hyeon-jun (현준) and Kim Yung-hee plays Kim Yung-hui (융희).

Does one person hold both key credits?

Yes. Yoo Jung-hyeok is credited as writer and director, so the original screenplay and its execution sit with the same person across all six parts, made for Fangle Studio.

Is there a published source?

No. It is an original screenplay with no novel or webtoon behind it.

Where can it be watched?

On GagaOOLala, with a YouTube release also listed.

Where a title can be watched, and who is credited on it, may have changed since publication, as our disclaimer explains.
