BIOGRAPHY
Akane Ozora (大空茜音, also transliterated Akane Oozora) is a Japanese anime director with two credits from 2022 and 2025.
The first is key animation on episode one of SPY x FAMILY, the CloverWorks and WIT STUDIO series that began airing in April 2022. The second, three years later, is the director credit on Unexpectedly Naughty Fukami (やたらやらしい深見くん), an eight episode boys’ love original net animation of six minute episodes.
The Fukami anime is adapted from a manga by Ayaka Matsumoto, serialised digitally on ComicFesta since 7 December 2022. Studio Houkiboshi is credited as the main studio, with Suiseisha alongside it. Eeyo Kurosaki (黒崎エーヨ) handled series composition, Rena Nasu was character designer and chief animation director, Akinori Shiba was sound director, and Takuto Tomozawa and Shurakura Hououin are credited as directors of photography. The closing theme was composed and arranged by Kazuki Kaneko with lyrics by Rei Hinooka, performed by Chasuke and Marshmallow Yakitarou.
The anime went out in two forms: a premium version for online streaming, which premiered on 14 March 2025, and a standard version for television broadcast on Tokyo MX and BS11 from 7 April to 9 June 2025. Its outlets also include AnimeFesta, OceanVeil, U-NEXT and Apple TV+.
The two leads, Kaji and Fukami, are voiced by Chasuke and Marshmallow Yakitarou, the same pair who perform the closing song. The manga behind the series was collected in four volumes by Suiseisha, and the live action drama gives the same two roles to Atsuki Kashio and Yu Miyazaki.
A live action drama adaptation of the same manga followed on Tokyo MX between 7 April and 9 June 2026. Nao Shioji wrote its screenplay and Kazuhiro Ito is credited as executive producer. It also streamed on DMM TV and TVer, with GagaOOLala holding the international rights.

Eight episodes of six minutes each make a season of 48 minutes, released as a premium streaming cut and a separate broadcast cut three weeks apart.
The manga is serialised on ComicFesta and the anime’s streaming release sits on AnimeFesta, so the story moved from a phone screen to television under one line of releases.
In my view the format is the most telling detail. Six minute episodes leave no room for a slow opening, so the direction has to establish the two leads almost at once, which is a demanding brief for a first directing credit.
