Tipnaree Weerawatnodom

Tipnaree Weerawatnodom (Thai: ทิพนารี วีรวัฒโนดม; born July 1, 1996), known professionally by her nickname Namtan, is a Thai actor signed to GMMTV. Born in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, she began her career as a television host in 2013 before transitioning into acting.

Her first steady work was on screen as a presenter. From 2013 she co-hosted the Channel 3 programme Strawberry Krubcake with Vachirawit Chivaaree and Pronpiphat Pattanasettanon, and the programme ran until 2015.

Weerawatnodom studied acting and directing at Srinakharinwirot University’s Faculty of Fine Arts, earning her bachelor’s degree in 2018 and later completing a master’s degree in Performing Arts at the same university in 2024. She first drew wide industry attention for her dual role in the 2020 drama Who Are You, which earned her a Best Actress nomination at the 26th Asian Television Awards.

Who Are You was broadcast from 2 May to 28 June 2020 on GMM 25 and LINE TV. It ran eighteen episodes under director Kanittha Kwunyoo for GMMTV and Nar-ra-tor. The story follows identical twins raised in very different circumstances. She plays both Meen and Mind opposite Perawat Sangpotirat. The part won her the Rising Star Actress prize at the 2020 Zoomdara Awards, and her next large ensemble part came in Last Twilight, which ran on GMM 25 and YouTube from 10 November 2023 to 26 January 2024 in twelve episodes under director Noppharnach Chaiyahwimhon. There she played Porjai alongside Rachanun Mahawan, who appears as Gee, a few months before the two shared Ploy’s Yearbook.

In 2024 she played Ploypang in Ploy’s Yearbook, the Snap25 and GMMTV comedy on GMM25 and Viu in which five girls called Ploy find their yearbook phone numbers mixed up, with Mahawan as Pandara in the same ensemble.

That autumn she took on another demanding dual role as twin sisters Ai-oon and Oaboom Ingsamug in the Thai Girls’ Love drama Pluto, opposite Rachanun Mahawan. The series, written by Kusolin Mekviphat and Bangpahn Homjan from a novel by Chao Planoy, ran on GMM 25, YouTube and Viu in twelve episodes from 19 October 2024 to 4 January 2025. When Oaboom dies after an accident on her wedding day, Ai-oon takes her place beside May, a partner who cannot see. The performance and the pair’s on-screen chemistry, known to fans as NamtanFilm, earned her the Leading Girls’ Love Star of the Year title at the Y Entertain Awards 2025 and a Best Couple award at the Y Universe Awards 2025.

The partnership carried into music and live events. For the Pluto soundtrack the two sang the title song together, and A Princess’ Tale is a second duet. Fan meetings then took them to Cambodia, China, Vietnam, Japan, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Spain during 2025 and 2026. In 2026 she led Girl Rules as Prim, a director who founded her own production company, in a fashion world of reconnected exes. It was broadcast from 9 March to 1 June 2026, with Mahawan as Prim’s former partner Bambi.
