Sataporn Panichraksapong

Sataporn Panichraksapong (Thai: สถาพร พานิชรักษาพงศ์, born 27 December 1967), known as Tha, is the chief executive of GMMTV. If you watch Thai Boys’ Love, his name is on more of it than almost anyone’s, because his executive producer credit sits at the top of the company that has made the majority of the genre’s biggest series.

He took a bachelor’s degree at Thammasat University’s Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication, in the film and photography programme, and in 2014 completed the Director Certification Program run by the Thai Institute of Directors.

His career began on the music side. He was deputy managing director for the music business at RS Public Company Limited before moving to GMMTV in the same deputy role. In January 2007 he stepped up to managing director, taking over from Saithip Montrikul Na Ayudhya when she left for an executive post at GMM Media. He later held a second job as well: from 16 September 2018 he was chief executive of the broadcast channel GMM 25, again succeeding Saithip, who had moved up to vice chair of GMM Channel Holding. He gave that post up on 1 December 2020, after The One Enterprise acquired GMM Channel Holding’s registered shares and took over as the channel’s marketing agent, leaving him with the GMMTV chief executive role alone.

What that means in practice for this site is straightforward. An executive producer credit at his level is a studio credit rather than a set credit: it signals that the production was greenlit, resourced and shepherded through GMMTV rather than that he directed a scene. His name appears on well over a hundred productions since 2001, among them Dark Blue Kiss (2019), We Are (2024), Head 2 Head (2025) and Me and Thee (2025).

In the BLGLFLIX catalogue he is credited as executive producer on Cherry Magic, The Heart Killers, When Oranges Fall, Mr.Kill and Ticket to Heaven.
