Only Boo!

Only Boo! (Thai: แค่ที่แกง, RTGS: Khae Thi Kaeng) is a 2024 Thai BL romantic comedy made by GMMTV with Gmo Films, directed by Sakon Wongsinwiset and built from the web novel that shares its Thai title, written by peachhplease. Twelve episodes ran on GMM 25 between 31 March and 23 June 2024, Sundays at 20:30 Thailand time. It is the series that turned both of its leads from GMMTV newcomers into leading actors.

Mok Diloksakulkan, called Moo (Keen Suvijak Piyanopharoj), is a secondary school student whose entire plan for his life is a boy band debut. His mother disagrees with the plan and moves him to a school in a smaller town to get his attention back onto his exams. What he finds there is Pakorn Wongwiset, known as Kang (Sea Dechchart Tasilp), who works a food stall and treats him with a plain, unfussy kindness he has not had much of. Moo decides he wants him and says so out loud, repeatedly, while still practising singing and dancing every hour he can find.

The obstacle in the second half is not a rival and not a secret. It is a contract. Moo does get his debut, and the agency that signs him attaches the clause that idol contracts in the region really do attach: no girlfriend, no boyfriend, not while you belong to us. From there the series is about two people working out what to do when the thing one of them wanted most becomes the reason they cannot be seen together.

Around the pair are Aun Napat Patcharachavalit as Naphat, called Potae, Ashi Peerakan Teawsuwan as Phira, called Payos, Pansa Vosbein as Net, Kasidet Plookphol as Shone and Thanawin Teeraphosulaen as Jang. Sataporn Panichraksapong and Darapa Choeysanguan are credited as executive producers.

Filming ran from 12 January to 12 April 2024. The broadcast was interrupted once: episode two aired on schedule, was repeated the following week across the Songkran holiday, and episode three moved to 21 April, which is why twelve episodes cover thirteen Sundays. Seven original songs were released through GMMTV Records during the run, five of them sung by Keen Suvijak, whose character is a singer inside the story as well as outside it.
