Every credited actor, every character, every episode date and every licensed place to watch GMMTV's dual-couple crime romance

Betrayals are not waved away in the following episode. The five-year prison sentence in the back half is a real time skip with real cost.

The Heart Killers is a 2024 Thai BL crime romance from GMMTV that runs twelve episodes and puts two of Thailand’s biggest pairings in one story. First Kanaphan and Khaotung Thanawat play Kant and Bison, Joong Archen and Dunk Natachai play Fadel and Style, and fourteen more credited names fill out the world around them.

The Heart Killers at a glance

Twelve episodes aired on GMM25 between November 20, 2024 and February 12, 2025, every Wednesday at 20:30 Thailand time. The premise is a double con: a police informant is sent to get close to a pair of assassin brothers who run a hamburger shop as cover, and he brings a friend along to distract the older one. Both men fall for their targets. Neither of them planned that.

Cast of The Heart Killers

Eighteen credited performers appear in The Heart Killers, four of them as leads and fourteen in supporting roles. The table below gives every one of them with their character and the number of episodes they appear in, taken from TMDB’s aggregate credits. The episode counts are the useful part: they separate the names that are structural to the show from the single-scene appearances.

Kant and Bison

First Kanaphan Puitrakul plays Kant Pattanawat, a tattoo artist and former car thief working as a police informant to keep his record clean. Khaotung Thanawat Ratanakitpaisan plays Aechitpol Phanlert, known as Bison, the younger of the two assassin brothers and, as Kant discovers with some horror, the man he already had a one-night encounter with at a bowling alley.

First and Khaotung, shipped together as FirstKhao, had already headlined The Eclipse in 2022 and Only Friends in 2023 before this. That history is doing work here: the show can start their relationship mid-complication because the audience arrives already fluent in how these two act opposite each other.

Fadel and Style

Joong Archen Aydin plays Fadel Kasemsan, the older brother, the one who reads Kant as a threat within minutes of meeting him. Dunk Natachai Boonprasert plays Sattawat Chayakorn, called Style, a mechanic and Kant’s best friend, recruited into the operation with the promise of a vintage car if he can keep Fadel occupied.

The Style and Fadel thread is where the Shakespeare shows through most clearly. Joong and Dunk, shipped as JoongDunk, had previously worked together on Star in My Mind and Hidden Agenda, and Dunk’s performance here was the breakout of the season on social media.

The supporting names that matter most

Babe, played by Ken Kanthee Limpitikranon, is the only supporting character present in all twelve episodes. That is unusual for a debut credit; most first roles in a GMMTV production are single-episode walk-ons, and this one runs the length of the series. Ken went on to lead the friend group in When Oranges Fall in 2026.

Lilly, played by Parn Thanaporn Wagprayoon across eight episodes, is the adoptive mother of Bison and Fadel and the story’s true antagonist. Parn is a veteran Thai vocalist rather than a career screen actor, and casting a singer known for ballads as the person who manufactured two orphaned assassins is a choice the show gets a lot of mileage from.

Captain Christ, played by Peter Tuinstra across seven episodes, is the police side of Kant’s arrangement and the reason the informant plot has any pressure behind it. Keen, played by Pepper Phanuroj Chalermkijporntavee across eight episodes, and Jay, played by Jeab Chaiwat Singha across six, round out the recurring tier.

Thanon is played by JJ Chayakorn Jutamas, twin brother of actor AJ Chayapol Jutamas, across five episodes. Knot is played by Paul Tanan Lohawatanakul, who also appears as Achi in When Oranges Fall. The remaining names, Rueart, Fluke, James, Penpak, Jimmy and Popcorn, are shorter appearances but are part of the credited record, and they are listed here so the full cast stays findable in one place.

The Heart Killers ep 1 and the full episode guide

The Heart Killers ep 1 aired on November 20, 2024 and sets the whole con in motion: Kant takes the informant job, works out that his target is the man from the bowling alley, and pulls Style in as cover. Every episode after it went out weekly on Wednesday at 20:30 ICT, with one gap over New Year.

That gap is the only irregularity in the run. GMMTV aired episode 6 as scheduled on Christmas Day, skipped the New Year week entirely, and resumed with episode 7 on January 8, 2025. The schedule below follows from the confirmed premiere, that announced break and the February 12 finale.

Runtimes differ by version rather than by episode. The GMM25 broadcast cut runs about 45 minutes per episode. The extended version on iQIYI runs roughly 60 to 80 minutes, with the finale the longest of the set.

Behind the camera

Jojo Tichakorn Phukhaotong directed, and he is one of the reasons the show looks the way it does. His previous credits include Gay OK Bangkok in 2016, Not Me in 2021 and Only Friends in 2023, all of which sit outside the university-romance default of the genre. He also appears on screen briefly, credited as a customer at Style’s garage.

The script is credited to Jojo alongside Yui Kanokphan Ornrattanasakul, Eng Issaraporn Kuntisuk and Fleur Irene Insot, a writing team that has worked together across several GMMTV titles. Aof Noppharnach Chaiyahwimhon and Rabob Pokanngaen are credited among the producers.

The Heart Killers novel and the Shakespeare connection

The Heart Killers novel runs the usual adaptation direction backwards. A tie-in book by Thai author Nottakorn was published on October 17, 2024 during Book Expo Thailand, roughly a month before the series premiered, and it was written from the script rather than the script being written from it. Anyone looking for a source novel that predates the drama will not find one, because there is not one.

What does predate it is Shakespeare, loosely. The series takes its shape from The Taming of the Shrew, written around 1590 to 1592, filtered through the 1999 film 10 Things I Hate About You, which is itself a modern retelling of the same play. The borrowed structure sits in the Style and Fadel storyline: one man is paid to court another so that a third party can get close to someone else, and the paid courtship stops being paid somewhere in the middle.

Principal photography ran from July 18 to October 30, 2024, which puts the novel’s publication date inside the final stretch of the shoot.

Where to watch The Heart Killers

The series is available through several licensed routes, and the versions are not identical. GMMTV’s own channel carries the international cut with English subtitles for free on YouTube. GagaOOLala carries it with English and German subtitles, and Rakuten Viki carries it on subscription.

iQIYI streams the extended director’s version, where episodes run roughly 60 to 80 minutes against about 45 minutes for the GMM25 broadcast cut. The finale is the longest at around 80 minutes. If you want the version with the most footage in it, that is the one.

Is The Heart Killers worth watching?

BLGLFLIX scores it 8 out of 10, which puts it near the top of the 2024 to 2025 Thai BL slate. The reasons are structural rather than sentimental. Betrayals are not waved away in the following episode. The five-year prison sentence in the back half is a real time skip with real cost. And the production is doing more than the genre usually asks for, with fight choreography and a retro-noir palette that would not look out of place in a straight crime drama.

The reservation is that a dual-couple show with a crime plot has a lot to carry across twelve episodes, and the middle stretch asks you to hold four arcs at once. If you would rather have one relationship followed properly, this is not that. If you want to see what happens when a BL production is given a genuine genre framework and a director who has already made three queer dramas outside the university setting, this is close to the best case. The complete record sits on our The Heart Killers title page, and the two pairings have their own entries as FirstKhao and JoongDunk.

How the two romances differ

Both couples are built on a lie, but the lies are not the same shape, and that is what keeps the dual-couple structure from feeling repetitive.

Kant goes into the job knowing exactly who Bison is, because he already slept with him before he knew what he was walking into. His deception is a continuation of something real, which is why his half of the show is about damage control rather than seduction. Every scene between the two of them is a negotiation over how much of what already happened counts.

Style’s problem is the opposite. He is recruited from the outside with no history and no stake, motivated by a car, and he approaches Fadel as a task. What breaks him is that the task works on him rather than on the target. Fadel, meanwhile, is the most guarded character in the show and the one with the least practice at being wanted for himself. That combination is why the Style and Fadel arc pulls the second half of the season.

The structural payoff arrives in the back stretch. Both deceptions are exposed, and the series does not treat exposure as a misunderstanding to be cleared up over one conversation. Consequences land, a sentence is served, and five years pass on screen. Very few BL productions are willing to spend a fifth of their runtime on the aftermath of a betrayal instead of the betrayal itself.

What to watch after The Heart Killers

If the draw was the direction, Only Friends from 2023 is the closest comparison, since it shares Jojo Tichakorn along with First Kanaphan and Khaotung Thanawat. It is an ensemble friend-group drama rather than a genre piece, so the register is different, but the willingness to let characters behave badly and stay likeable carries over.

If the draw was the pairing chemistry, the earlier work is where to look: The Eclipse in 2022 for First and Khaotung, and Star in My Mind and Hidden Agenda for Joong and Dunk. Watching those first makes the shorthand in The Heart Killers read more clearly, because a lot of what the show does not have to explain is doing that work off the back of these earlier titles.

If the draw was the crime framework, the honest answer is that the Thai BL slate does not have many close matches. That scarcity is part of why this series landed the way it did, and it is the strongest argument for watching the extended cut rather than the broadcast one.

When did The Heart Killers ep 1 air, and what happens in it?

Episode 1 aired on GMM25 on November 20, 2024 at 20:30 Thailand time. It sets up the double con: Kant accepts the police informant job, realises his target Bison is the man he already met at a bowling alley, and brings his friend Style in to occupy Bison’s older brother Fadel.

Where can I watch The Heart Killers with English subtitles?

Free with subtitles on GMMTV’s YouTube channel and on GagaOOLala, which also carries German subtitles. Rakuten Viki carries it on subscription, and iQIYI streams the longer director’s version at roughly 60 to 80 minutes per episode.

Is there a The Heart Killers novel?

Yes, but it is a tie-in rather than a source. A novel by Thai author Nottakorn was published on October 17, 2024 during Book Expo Thailand, about a month before the series premiered, and it was written from the script rather than the script being adapted from it.

How many episodes does The Heart Killers have?

Twelve episodes forming one complete season. They aired on GMM25 every Wednesday at 20:30 Thailand time between November 20, 2024 and February 12, 2025, with a one-week break over New Year after episode 6. The broadcast cut runs about 45 minutes per episode; the extended version on iQIYI runs roughly 60 to 80 minutes.

Is The Heart Killers a BL drama?

Yes. It is a boys’ love series from GMMTV built on two male-male romances running in parallel, Kant with Bison and Style with Fadel, inside a crime plot about a police informant sent to infiltrate a pair of assassin brothers.

Who are FirstKhao and JoongDunk?

FirstKhao is the pairing of First Kanaphan Puitrakul and Khaotung Thanawat Ratanakitpaisan, who previously worked together on The Eclipse in 2022 and Only Friends in 2023. JoongDunk is the pairing of Joong Archen Aydin and Dunk Natachai Boonprasert, who previously worked together on Star in My Mind and Hidden Agenda. Both are professional on-screen partnerships.

Is The Heart Killers based on Shakespeare?

Loosely. It borrows the structure of The Taming of the Shrew, written around 1590 to 1592, by way of the 1999 film 10 Things I Hate About You. The borrowed shape sits mainly in the Style and Fadel storyline, where a paid courtship stops being paid.

Which supporting actor appears in the most episodes?

Ken Kanthee Limpitikranon, who plays Babe, is the only supporting performer credited in all twelve episodes according to TMDB. Pepper Phanuroj Chalermkijporntavee and Parn Thanaporn Wagprayoon follow with eight each, and Peter Tuinstra with seven.

Will there be a second season of The Heart Killers?

No second season has been announced. The twelve-episode story reaches a definitive ending, and the cast reunited only for behind-the-scenes and extended-version releases rather than new episodes.
