Where to start with GL

Girls’ Love, or GL, is the smaller of the two genres, and that makes it easy to get your bearings. Thailand is where most of the recent series come from, with titles such as Love Bound, Fairway of Love, Juliet & Juliet, Pls.Love and Third Person all dated 2026, and earlier hits such as 23.5 the Series, Pluto the Series and The Secret of Us from 2024. Most of these run eight to twelve episodes, which makes a GL series an evening or two of viewing, not a month.I am Renkaze, the editor of BL & GL Flix. When someone asks me where to begin, I point to length first. A series such as Khom Khlang, with four episodes on WeTV, or Don’t Say No Yet, a ten episode web series on YouTube, is a gentle way in. If you want a fuller season, GMMTV’s Moonshadow On Air runs ten episodes, and The Loyal Pin and GAP stretch to sixteen and twelve.

Beyond Thailand

GL is not only Thai. Japan is represented by How Do We Relationship?, an eight episode series from 2026 on MBS. South Korea has Friendly Rivalry, a sixteen episode series from 2025 that streams on Netflix and Viki. Taiwan has Fragrance of the First Flower, an eighteen episode series from 2021. The Philippines has the thirteen episode web series Sky Valley, and Singapore has Lost to You, a twelve episode web series on GagaOOLala. Seeing so many countries in one small genre is one of the most useful things the GL page shows you.

Series that began as novels

Several GL series started on the page. Petrichor, The Secret of Us, 23.5, Pluto and GAP all have novel counterparts, and Moon Shadow does too. If you enjoy a series, the novel is a natural next step, and reading the two side by side shows how much a screen adaptation chooses to keep or change.
