Thai GL Series: The Complete List and 2026 Release Calendar

Every Thai GL series that reached broadcast or a licensed platform, with studios, episode counts, where to watch, and the 2026 titles GMMTV has announced

Thailand has produced GL series since 2022, when Idol Factory put Gap on national television. Since then Channel 3, GMMTV and MGI have each funded their own girls’ love titles, and GMMTV announced four more for 2026. Here is the full Thai GL list with studios, episode counts and where each one streams.

The Thai GL series list, year by year

The table below covers Thai GL series that reached a national broadcaster or a major streaming platform, ordered by premiere year. Every episode count and air date in it comes from a published source rather than an aggregator, and the studio column names the company that made the show rather than the channel that carried it.

Two things stand out in that GL series list. The first is how fast the format moved from one studio to four: Gap was an outlier in 2022, and by 2024 Idol Factory, GMMTV and Channel 3 were all releasing GL inside the same twelve months. The second is that episode counts have not settled. The Secret of Us ran eight, Show Me Love nine, three titles ran twelve, and The Loyal Pin ran sixteen. A GL series in Thailand is not yet a fixed product the way a twelve-episode Thai BL largely is.

What counts as a Thai GL series

The line matters, because different lists give wildly different totals. Some fan-maintained lists run past sixty entries by including short-form web content, single-episode specials, music video narratives and shows with a secondary female couple in an otherwise straight cast.

This page uses a narrower rule. A title is listed as a Thai GL series when a romantic relationship between two women is the main storyline, the production is Thai, and it ran as a scheduled series on a broadcaster or a licensed streaming platform. That excludes web shorts and side-couple appearances, and it is why this list is shorter than the aggregate ones. Titles that fall outside the rule are not less real, they are just a different category, and mixing them makes the episode counts and studio credits useless for anyone trying to plan a watch order.

Best Thai GL series to start with

If you have never watched a Thai GL series, the right starting point depends on what you want from it.

The one that started it: Gap. Twelve episodes on Channel 3 between 19 November 2022 and 11 February 2023, the first GL series broadcast on Thai national television. It is also where the Sarocha Chankimha and Rebecca Patricia Armstrong pairing came from, which is the single biggest reason the category kept getting funded.

The historical one: The Loyal Pin. Sixteen episodes on Workpoint TV from 4 August to 17 November 2024, set in 1960s Thailand and adapted from a novel by MonMaw, with Armstrong as Princess Anilaphat and Chankimha as Lady Pilantita. It is the longest Thai GL made so far and the one with the most production money visible on screen.

The light one: 23.5. GMMTV’s twelve-episode school romance, aired 8 March to 24 May 2024 on GMM 25 and carried by Netflix, starring Pansa Vosbein and Pattranite Limpatiyakorn. It is the easiest entry to hand to someone who does not usually watch Thai drama.

The heavier one: Pluto. Tipnaree Weerawatnodom plays a woman who takes on her twin sister’s identity and keeps seeing her sister’s blind girlfriend, played by Rachanun Mahawan. Twelve episodes from 19 October 2024 to 4 January 2025, co-produced by GMMTV and Snap25.

The newest: Girl Rules, which ran twelve episodes from 9 March to 1 June 2026 on GMM 25 and iQIYI. It puts the leads of 23.5 and Pluto into one ensemble, which is the clearest sign yet that GMMTV treats its GL actresses as a standing roster rather than a one-off experiment.

Where to watch Thai GL series

Thai GL splits across three distribution routes, and which one applies changes what you can watch legally outside Thailand.

Broadcast plus a studio YouTube channel. Idol Factory put Gap on Channel 3 and its own YouTube channel, and did the same with The Loyal Pin through Workpoint TV. MGI released Show Me Love entirely on the GrandTV YouTube channel. YouTube distribution is the reason the earliest Thai GL travelled internationally at all, and it is still the least region-locked route.

Broadcast plus a licensed platform. GMMTV titles air on GMM 25 first and then reach a partner: Netflix for 23.5, Viu for Pluto, iQIYI for Girl Rules. Availability on these is uneven, and a title listed in one country may be absent in another.

Broadcast only. The Secret of Us ran on Channel 3, the network’s first GL series, without a clean international home at launch.

BLGLFLIX publishes only links that go directly to a licensed page for the work itself. Where a Thai GL series has no such link in a given territory, this page says so rather than pointing at a homepage, a channel or a search result.

How GL grew in Thailand

Thai BL had a decade of head start. Studios built pairing-driven marketing, fan meeting tours, sponsor packages and an international licensing pipeline around male leads, and through most of that decade GL was made in ones and twos by smaller companies with no route to broadcast.

Gap changed that in November 2022 by getting a GL series onto Channel 3, one of Thailand’s national free-to-air networks. That mattered less for the show itself than for what it proved to the people who buy advertising: a GL series could hold a broadcast slot and produce a pairing with commercial pull comparable to a BL one.

What followed was not a flood. It was a steady widening. Channel 3 made its own GL in 2024 with The Secret of Us. Idol Factory scaled up to sixteen episodes and a period setting with The Loyal Pin. GMMTV, the largest BL producer in the country, entered with 23.5 in March 2024 and followed with Pluto in October. Four Thai GL series reached broadcast in a single calendar year.

By 2026 GMMTV was running GL as a continuing line rather than a trial. Girl Rules aired twelve episodes across the first half of the year with an ensemble drawn from the studio’s existing GL casts, and four further GL titles were named at the studio’s annual lineup event.

Which studios are funding Thai GL now

GMMTV is the largest single backer. It has the deepest bench of contracted actresses, the GMM 25 broadcast slot, and existing licensing relationships with Netflix, Viu and iQIYI that a new title can be slotted into. Its GL output moved from one series in 2024 to a named block in the 2026 slate. The GMMTV productions already recorded in this database are listed on the GMMTV studio page.

Idol Factory is the specialist. It made the first one, it made the longest one, and it built the pairing that gave the category its first genuinely international fandom. Its route to audiences runs through free-to-air broadcast plus its own YouTube channel rather than through a streaming partner, which keeps the shows reachable but caps the licensing revenue.

Channel 3 and MGI are occasional entrants. Channel 3 produced The Secret of Us, its first GL series, in 2024. MGI, the company behind Miss Grand International, released the nine-episode Show Me Love on its GrandTV channel in 2023, using pageant talent rather than drama-trained leads. Both show that a GL series no longer requires a dedicated BL studio to get made.

Upcoming GL series 2026 and what has been announced

GMMTV announced its 2026 slate at Magic Vibes Maximized on 26 November 2025 at Union Hall in Bangkok. Four GL titles were named with casts attached. As with the BL half of that lineup, no premiere dates were given at the event, and Thai studios generally schedule individual titles two to eight weeks before broadcast, so a slate announcement is not a calendar.

Two of these carry names that already sell. Ditto puts Milk Pansa and Love Pattranite back together after 23.5 and Girl Rules. Moonshadow adds Film Rachanun, who led Pluto. Oxytoxin goes the other way and fields newer actresses, which is what a studio does when it is building a bench rather than protecting a hit. Four GL titles from one studio in one announcement had not happened before in this category.

How GL differs from BL in practice

The two are often described as mirror images. In production terms they are not, and the differences are worth knowing before you plan a watch list.

Episode length is less standardised. Thai BL has largely converged on ten to twelve episodes. Thai GL has run at eight, nine, twelve and sixteen within the same three years, which makes a GL series harder to slot into a fixed broadcast grid.

Source material is thinner. A large share of Thai BL is adapted from web novels published on Dek-D and Tunwalai, and Korean BL increasingly arrives through webtoons. Thai GL has fewer published source works to draw on, so more of it is written directly for the screen. The Loyal Pin, adapted from MonMaw’s novel, is the exception rather than the rule.

The pairing economy is younger. BL pairings are moved between projects for years, with fan meetings and endorsements built around them. GL is only now reaching the point where the same actresses recur across multiple titles, which is exactly what Girl Rules and the announced 2026 slate do.

International licensing arrived later. A Thai BL usually ships with a streaming partner attached from day one. Several Thai GL series reached international viewers first through a studio’s own YouTube channel, and only later through a platform deal.

What the GL shelf on this site currently holds

Being straight about it: this database is BL-heavy. Of the title records published so far, the BL shelf runs several times deeper than the GL one, a gap that reflects the industry’s head start rather than a gap in coverage. That one is Lost to You, a 2026 Mandarin-language web series on GagaOOLala that threads a girls’ love relationship through its supporting cast alongside its central male pairing. The whole shelf is visible on the GL theme page, and the Thai catalogue on the Thailand page.

Records here are created when there is verifiable material to put in them, which usually means a confirmed cast, a named studio and a broadcast source. The Thai GL series in the table above are being added on that basis, and this page will link to each record as it goes live rather than pointing now at pages that do not exist. Saying the shelf is thin is more useful than filling it with entries that carry a title and nothing else.

Corrections and additions

Thai GL is moving faster than any single page can track, and a page that lists unaired shows will be wrong somewhere at any given moment. If you can point to a broadcaster schedule, a platform listing or a studio announcement for a series or a date not recorded here, send it through the site contact form and the entry will be updated with that source noted.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the full Thai GL series list?

The Thai GL series that reached a national broadcaster or a major streaming platform are Gap (2022, Idol Factory), Show Me Love (2023, MGI), 23.5 (2024, GMMTV), The Secret of Us (2024, Channel 3), The Loyal Pin (2024, Idol Factory), Pluto (2024, GMMTV and Snap25) and Girl Rules (2026, GMMTV and Moongdoo Production).

What was the first Thai GL series?

Gap, produced by Idol Factory, is the first GL series broadcast on Thai national television. It ran twelve episodes on Channel 3 from 19 November 2022 to 11 February 2023, with parallel release on Idol Factory’s own YouTube channel.

What are the best Thai GL series to start with?

For the historical production, The Loyal Pin with its sixteen episodes. For the lightest entry point, 23.5. For a heavier story, Pluto. For the one that opened the category, Gap. For the most recent, Girl Rules, which ran from 9 March to 1 June 2026.

Where can I watch Thai GL series?

It depends on the studio. Idol Factory and MGI titles reached international viewers through studio YouTube channels alongside broadcast. GMMTV titles air on GMM 25 first and then reach a partner platform: Netflix for 23.5, Viu for Pluto, iQIYI for Girl Rules. The Secret of Us aired on Channel 3 without a clean international home at launch.

What upcoming GL series are coming in 2026?

GMMTV named four GL titles at its Magic Vibes Maximized event on 26 November 2025: Ditto with Milk Pansa and Love Pattranite, Moonshadow with Emi Thasorn, Bonnie Pattraphus and Film Rachanun, Enemies With Benefits with Jan Ployshompoo and JingJing Yu, and Oxytoxin with a group of newer actresses. No premiere dates were attached at the event.

How many episodes does a Thai GL series usually run?

There is no standard yet. The Secret of Us ran eight episodes, Show Me Love nine, 23.5, Pluto and Girl Rules twelve each, and The Loyal Pin sixteen. Thai BL has largely settled on ten to twelve, so GL is still the less predictable format for schedulers.

Which studios make Thai GL series?

GMMTV is the largest backer, with GMM 25 broadcast slots and licensing deals with Netflix, Viu and iQIYI. Idol Factory is the specialist that made the first and the longest one. Channel 3 and MGI have each produced one, showing that a GL series no longer requires a dedicated BL studio.

How is GL different from BL in Thailand?

Episode counts are less standardised, there are fewer published novels and webtoons to adapt so more scripts are written directly for the screen, the practice of moving a pairing between projects is newer, and international licensing usually arrives later than it does for a comparable BL title.

How many GL titles does BLGLFLIX have in its database?

One record currently carries the GL theme tag: Lost to You, a 2026 Mandarin-language series on GagaOOLala that runs a girls’ love relationship through its supporting cast. Sixty-three records carry the BL tag. The Thai GL series listed on this page are being added as records, and each will be linked here once its record is live.

Why do other Thai GL lists have sixty or more entries?

Broader lists count short-form web content, single-episode specials, music video narratives and shows where a female couple appears as a side pairing. This page counts a title only when a romance between two women is the main storyline and the show ran as a scheduled series on a broadcaster or a licensed platform.
